Stories Space, our sister site for non-erotic storytelling, is ten years old!

And that's something to celebrate. While Stories Space may not be as lively as here, it is a nice community for writers not interested in, or wanting a break from, writing erotica. Pretty much any genre you could want to write in is open for business (I mostly write fantasy and horror there). There's even a lot of non-fiction, including "Musings" for posting your thoughts or memories.

And, best of all, there's a competition (or three) to celebrate the anniversary.

The site home page: https://www.storiesspace.com/

The thread for the anniversary competition(s): https://www.storiesspace.com/forum/site-announcements-and-members-feedback/announcing-our-cheers-to-10-years-winners

Come over and congratulate our team on the fine work they've done and maybe join in the fun.

Thanks Scott!

I had no idea.

Bit of a bad reflection on how little time I have to spend there.
I discovered Stories Space thanks to Beffer and her essays with some outstanding info concerning the Cherokees and her Cherokee heritage. Check it out!

Pop by some time. We even have a cafe now. Kind of Rumps with no booze and cleaner language. And no tarantulas (that I have seen as of yet).

I've been enjoying writing some soul-baring micros there! It's a great site for my softer side.

The lack of reactions on this site forces me to reply. Your micros have been terrific. A highlight of the site for me of late.

Thanks so much, Scott. I appreciate knowing that. Thanks for encouraging me to keep writing there!

It helps that I am retired and that my kids, grandkids, and most of my siblings live in different states. I do volunteer work, but I choose my own hours, and most of it is from home since March.

I live on the beach, on a little chain of islands along the coast of the Gulf of Mexico in Florida, so life is simple and that leaves a lot of time to write. That is until my disabled brother comes back to live with me in January. Then it's more challenging to find time to write.

The writing I do here is for others, to entertain and titillate. The writing I do on the sister site is for me, and it's very cathartic.

It's beautiful too. As Scott says, your micros are fab!

Congrats on 10yrs.

I had an account on Stories Space for less than a wk but it does have a great community just like it has here.
(I mainly joined to play in the threads there as I do here)

Once again, Congrats on Ten yrs.

That's something to be proud of and I sure am thankful for what Nic has created for us to enjoy.

And thank you to the Mods too.

I am grateful to have found the sister site as well. It is good for me to scrub my dirty mind out every once in a while. And I am a shy person. I love interacting with the very nice readers on my stories, but sometimes get overwhelmed with the attention, and enjoy retreating to a quieter environment. I enjoy both worlds very much!!! There are some amazing writings over there as well and I have pointed a few from here in that direction.

You could write on any site anywhere, Kat! Truly! I find that site cathartic as well ... especially will use the Musings category I think.

Just a quick bump. All three comps are going well and Lush folks will certainly recognize some of the competing authors (including a certain ape) even if you're not a Stories Space regular. The comps close on Hallowe'en, this coming Saturday, so there is still some time to get a story in or read some of the stories (FYI, we don't have the 10 votes rule on SS but votes, comments and views are still helpful).

My latest (possibly final) entry is also my Hallowe'en story for this year:

Last call! Not at Rumps, at the Stories Space competition(s). There's a terrific last minute entry from clum that's worth a look.

https://www.storiesspace.com/stories/flash-fiction/-paper-.aspx

And, of course, there's still time for more. Submit them if you got them. And if you want some good reading today, come on over. We got lots. Details, including links to all three comps, are in the following thread.

It's great not having to do my own self-promotion. Cheers, mate.

You are most welcome! I quite enjoyed that story.
And the competition(s) is over. It was a fun month. Now we just wait on the judges, a feeling many here on Lush know well.

And if you haven't taken the opportunity to check out Stories Space, give it a chance. Some good stories get posted over there.
