Makes me wish I knew a good hacker. I'd love to take their precious website down.
My only story here was nicked, acknowledgments and all, by "lily" on the 521friends site. (Thanks for the heads-up, Em!)

A Google search on the title turned up a handful of other results, but they all appear to be dead links. I haven't gotten around to looking for those clever enough to change the title before posting my copyrighted work.

Those fucksticks have at least one of mine too. I'm sure I'll be banned, too, assuming they activate my account at all. "Lilly" stole it.

It's looks like Miss Lilly stole about every story that passed through Lush for a while...

I can tell you for a fact, and I think you've been doing this long enough to agree, that it's only going to get worse as time goes on and your reputation as an author increases...I'm sure people like Morgan and Tracy can tell a few stories...

If you try to get your stories pulled down every time they show up on a site, you'll only end up with more gray hairs in a few years...

It's when they try to profit from your stuff that you should be concerned...someone pointed this out, and it's stuff like this that's a bit troubling...

I don't want to think about what all is on there...but, I know it contains stuff from Lush authors...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

This is not really a story site, so I think I can post the link...it's a forum thread where someone posted almost 100 pages of people's stories...and I can tell you quite a few belong to Lush members...

What's the deal with Booksie? Anyone know anything about that site? I found someone who claimed authorship to two of my stories and a couple of poems, and while it doesn't appear anything is for sale...the fact that Booksie converts stuff to PDF I'm not too thrilled about...it means this person might have further intentions...maybe...

They changed the titles too, btw...

Yep, we're all on that one. They've got four of mine.

There are other blogs that feature a lot of Lush stories with no credit to the authors either.

It would almost be a full time job trying to put out all these fires.

Yeah, that person got them all, probably a bot though, since they all got added at the same time.

this 521friends site has just about all the stories from Lush Authors-
Just found one by Jaymal- "Pam Sandwich"

Edit: make that 3

No worries- I recognised the title of your story.

A google search linked one of my stories to a porn site- and it's been peppered with 'sexy latex teen girls' throughout the body of the text... problem is I cant find the link to the whole story just the excerpt.

I think you're right, but while I'm still energetic enough to try to ruin somebody's day over it, or damage their reputation, I'll do it. When I get tired of it, they'll be off the hook until the next person sees red over their plagiarism.
I just found my story Roommates with Benefits on wiki sex story. Does anyone know about this site? They don't even give the name of the author who lifted my work so I emailed them. I won't hold my breath, though.

My stories too have been stolen and posted on that site. I am actually quite shocked since I did not think they were all that good to begin with. I have looked the site over, but do not see a "contact us" option like we have. How are you guys getting in contact with that site?

These F'n theives (all types actually) really piss me off. I don't even write, but I have been reading stories and the forums here for almost a year. I have gotten to know and respect many of the people/authors through their works and really appreciate them sharing a bit of themselves here. In a perfect world, I think the culperts should be drawn, tarred and feathered....publicly and broadcasted over the internet.

I just want to say thanks to you all and I am so sorry to hear what is happening to your hard and brilliant works.

Ditto!
I have been following this thread for a bit and have not said anything because I am not an author.

Thanks for saying what I thought toml.
I just found one of mine on 'Indiansexstories1.com and there is nowhere that I can see to report it. fecking shite bollocks!

The site owner's email is publicly available if you run a whois search. If anyone needs it to lodge a complaint with them then let me know and I'll PM it to you.

We shouldn't publish email addresses on the forum really, no matter how much span we would wish upon the guy.

Speaking of...I found one of my stories on a blog, properly credited to me...and with my old e-mail address posted...and no idea how they got it...

There are more stories posted here, if anyone's curious...

So far, I've only found one of my stories that hasn't been, um..."borrowed"...

I just wanted to give some advice when going after these people:

1. Take screenshots of where your stories appear before you do anything. If someone deletes them, then you no longer have proof of anything.

2. You need to use legal jargon about copyright infringement laws. It tends to scare people into speeding things up. Also stating that you have taken screen shots and will use them for legal purposes if you need to also seems to help.

3. Follow-up. If you don't get a reply back in 24 hours, then send another email. It lets them know that you're serious and aren't going to go away or back down.

Happy hunting...

I had absolutely no idea how popular "Dance Class" was...three different people posted it on xHamster...and it seems to show up on a ton of fairly hardcore porn sites...and I would not call it a hard core story...

How does the copyright work? and wouldn't it be possible for copy and paste be disabled on the story page? just curious.

It's not as easy as that Garza. Even if we converted our pages to PDF, it's easy to convert them back to word. Disabling cut and paste, you can still "View source" and scrape page content that way.

The only way to totally protect your content on the web, is to not post it in the first place.

Like I had said, I usually don't get too bent out of shape over these things unless I think they're making money, or attempting to with my work...lately it's been hard to keep up with stolen stories, and poems now as well...

One that really pissed me off was over on Booksie...someone had stolen both my story "Sleeping With The Enemy" and my Christmas contest story "Her Christmas Wish"...changed the titles, and had them over there in PDF format, which some could take as a sign they're considering offering them as an e-book...

Anyway...contacted Booksie yesterday, and just got this reply a couple of minutes ago...

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us. We have closed the offending account.

Best,

Booksie Admin

That was easy...just sent them the links to my stories here...

Excellent.

Decent web site owners will do it immediately (well, after checking with the relevant people involved).

Lol...that's the facts of life, simply put...

I have a question...I Googled the first line of my story "Dance Class" and a ton of porn sites come up in the results, but if I click on them I can only get the free tour or whatever...how can I tell if they are using my story, or what?

Check out page two of the Google results, you'll see what I mean...

Sprite and I effectively bullied the original plagiarist on this site into removing the stolen bio as of... right now.

She even changed her pen name in an attempt to get away, but ya know... I can be a relentless bitch when I want to be.

Good work D_D, it can be quite fun cornering these *ssholes... or am I just perverse in enjoying the hunt and conquest?

They are probably using a clever cloaking program, which means the search engines see the stolen content, but you don't. I would write to the site owner, showing them a link to your work, together with the google link, showing they are appearing for your search phrase. I am afraid that if you are appearing on sites in that fashion, the owner is doing it. Then you have a battle on your hands.

If all else fails, write to the web site owners hosting company
Here's another site one of my stories is on that I bet has quite a few stories by others here...

REMOVED BY ADMIN - NO MORE LINKS PLEASE

I don't see any way to contact the site other than joining...and I don't feel like joining another pervy little site...heck, I'm on enough pervy little sites...

They don't actually claim they wrote it or anything...heck, there is no author listed...so, it's just another one I'm going to let go...and there's quite a few of those I've found today...

DM, try looking at Google's cached copy, often that gets around some restricted membership issues.

As Nic mentioned earlier, all site owners are required by law to list contact information with the site registration company. You can find it using a whois search.
As I say in my bio, if you really want to get tough with someone, turn me loose. I have had numerous copyright litigations (on behalf of the copyright owners, not infringers). Also, if you really want to stick it to someone, actually file a copyright registration for a group of your stories, only $30 on line, and I'll show you how to do it.

If you mouse over the "contact us" link at the bottom of the page, you can see the contact email address, and right clicking should copy it for you. I just emailed them about 4 of my stories posted by an "AngelKisses" who posted 5,666 stories in less than a week on that site, and hasn't been back there since July

Btw, I've found another of my stories that was not stolen..."The Review" has been on the internet for over two years now, and nobody has stolen it...
