So looking to improve my views, and beyond getting my name out on Lush is there any credence in using Twitter and Facebook to attract readers on the web. Also is there rules on how sexual you are allowed to be on them, do they allow you to link to lush?

Hiya. There's a really good article here about promoting yourself on various social media outlets. I use Twitter, although not very well, and I've never had a problem with content.

I suspect FB would be more restrictive, but I'm sure you can check their t&c's for more info.

Hope that helps and best of luck with your promotion.

I've only just found this thread and it's really useful. There's quite a lot of Lushies on Twitter and we're all pretty good at retweeting each other's promotions. As for Facebook, I'm still finding my way around it and I haven't explored Goodreads at all. I've not tried Pintrest as a means for promotion either.
Something not mentioned in the article is Groups. Not sure how useful they are (outdated?) but anything is better than nothing. Promotion is done via email which feels rather odd to me.

Anyone else got any promotion ideas?
Has anyone tried reddit? Surely there are some threads dedicated to raunchy reads and where to find them.

Reddit is listed in the article as a good place to try. Again, I'm not familiar with it. Got any pointers?

BTW I love your forum signature
Unfortunately no pointers or self-promotion experience. Just came across the topic and reddit stood out as a missing website.

About the forum signature...
