Most Popular Categories?

Sometimes I wonder, Do I put this story under Bisexual or Cuckold? Is this one Anal or Threesome? I might want to put it in the category with the least competition, or I might want to put it in the most popular category.

Is there a Top Ten list, or a bar chart of most popular with readers, or even the most popular with the writers?

I'm not sure there's an authoritative list, in my experience on recent stories
Anal is more popular than Toys
Quickie more popular than First Time.
I think some of the more categories generate more interest, Wife Lovers and Fantasies can be very popular.

It also depends what you deem popular, most views, most votes, most comments.
If you go with the last, I've seen a Wife Lovers story, some 30 chapters in (popularity tends to drop off over more chapters) that had over 100 top level comments plus further discussion within those comments.

If you go to the Lush home page, on the right (on the desktop) there are a number of boxes:
Top Authors
All Picks
Popular Tags
and Popular Searches
Try exploring them

You could also try the 'Popular' tab, but bear in mind the older stories have an advantage there as they've had more time to build up votes.
Note that this is bast on votes - a story with 10 votes and an average score of 5 will trump a story with 429 votes with an average score of 4.99. Yes, I just scrolled through 100 and odd pages to get those numbers.

Or you could try the 'Viewed' tab which list stories by number of views. Again, obviously older stories have an advantage of time.

With both these tabs you can choose (on the left) between - This Month, Last Month and All Time.

Another option is perhaps looking at the people that have achieved the Omnium badge. They have stories in all categories, so looking at their story lists you can see the number of views they have.

One factor to take into consideration - competition stories tend to have more views, votes and comments than other stories.
