Fortunately Unfortunately Plot Game

It is the oldest, most versatile plot structure in the world. Sometimes called Scene and Sequel, often called Fortunately Unfortunately, it is a lot of fun to play as a group activity. I like to play it as a mind game while drinking tea and watching folks walk by at Wal Mart. I think you already know this one. I’ll get it started with a bit of explanation, then you keep it going. Anyone is free to snag a piece and make it into their own story. Here goes!

Fortunately, Jezelle Tallamaska and Butu the Lion finally managed to get through the Maze of the Seven Buddhistavas and emerged into Choe Zinn, the Hidden Valley, in Butan.

That’s the initial setup.

Now, you do a post that starts with, “Unfortunately, they arrived just as …” and you post something horrible, terrible, uncomfortable or just unfortunate.
