Formatting issue

Hey all. I’m having trouble formatting an erotic poem. It looks fine in edit mode, 4 lines then space before the next 4 lines. But when I press preview it just shows as one line then double space then one line and double space again the whole way down, with no paragraphs. Can anyone help me resolve this please. Tia

Let's use these lines as an example:
With men in my life, I have no luck
they're exhausted and I still want to fuck.

If you just use the ENTER key, it will come out like this:

With men in my life, I have no luck

they're exhausted and I still want to fuck.

Go to the end of your line and delete until you have one line:

With men in my life, I have no luckthey're exhausted and I still want to fuck.

Then hit SHIFT+ENTER. That will give you a line break, whereas ENTER will give you a section/ paragraph break. Your end result will show as:
With men in my life, I have no luck
they're exhausted and I still want to fuck.

So, you can use ENTER to separate your stanzas and SHIFT+ENTER to break your lines up:

With men in my life, I have no luck
they're exhausted and I still want to fuck.

The poor, poor men, they're feeble like boys
