How can I edit a story that has already been published?
Open the story and scroll down to the end. Between Stats and Comments are buttons to Delete or Edit. Select Edit, do what you wish, then submit it to be re-vetted. If it's just something minor like a typo or grammar error, leave a note in the Mod Notes, so they can quickly verify. If it is a real re-write, mention that, and expect it to take as much time as a new story would take to get a pass.
Fine, Kis got there first. I have ribs for dinner in the oven and had to turn them.
A poem for your enjoyment. Little something that came to me a couple days ago

If the story has to be "republished", does anyone know if it keeps its stats? e.g. likes, views and comments. I'm asking this specifically because I have one particular story that is already "famous". Even though it is an older story (I've been on the site for a long time, before they even had memberships), it has recently become popular again and could possibly reach "legendary" status. I'd hate to lose the stats because I cringe at some of the typos that I'd like to correct. I'd also like to write a sequel to the story as requested several times by readers.

Wait... how do these signature templates work? 🙄

As long as you resubmit the same story with whatever edits you do, your story keeps all of its stats. 😎

@techgoddess or someone else may correct me...
But I believe when you change the old story it will stay in the same position in the LushStories story archive. It does not go to the top of the new story published list.
So, what I am saying is, that you will need to make your followers and friends aware that there has been a change made to the original story.

Correct, but the question PA_Mike had was would the stats still remain the same, (Likes, favorites, reads, etc), to which the answer is yes. I didn’t get the impression that he wanted his readers to reread the story. Just that he wanted to fix typos without losing his stats.

Thanks again, techgoddess. You are correct in your understanding of my concerns. The particular story I was concerned about has more than double the necessary reads for the "Famous" story status and for some odd reason has suddenly become quite popular again. When I re-read my own (old story, 2012) it literally made me cringe at some of the typos. LOL. So, I wanted to fix it without losing its stats and was hoping that it may reach "Legendary" status.
I also noticed that you are the only person that I've seen that has been on this site longer than I have! WOW. I'm sure there are others, I just haven't run across them.

Yep! I’ve been here since 2008. 😎
