How exactly does one post a cover image?

I've searched all over the site and see nothing to instruct how. On the editing page, there are no options to upload a cover image. The only thing I see is the image icon within the text body portion of the editor. When I tried that, the image appeared in the body of the preview rather than the very top- plus I didn't see anything about uploading images, only linking them.

Anyhow, before I ramble too much, can someone please provide assistance here? I would greatly appreciate it.

Image uploads are done through your settings page, here: https://www.lushstories.com/membership/details/imagegallery.aspx

If that's not available, it must be one of the things restricted to paid memberships. I can't remember for sure what all you can do with a free account.

Once you have images in your gallery, there will be an option to use one of them as a cover image on the story submission form.

Good Will ---|--- Three Alarm <= Both almost famous, give them a read and get them one step closer!

First, you have to have the images already uploaded into your image gallery. If you do, when you're on the story submission page you'll see them as shown in the screen capture below. All the photos in your image gallery will be avaiable to choose from by using the slider bar.
I've circled the place where it says cover image - all you have to do at that point is select the image and click on it. It will then get a blue frame around your selected shot, and it will appear as your cover image when your story is approved. You can modify your own image with story title and author ahead of time or let the site automatically place a title bar over it. I prefer to do my own as it looks cleaner and doesn't cover part of the image.

Below the pics you'll see a box to check that says "Hide title and author from cover image". You'd check that if you've already created a custom cover image with title.

As RR says, you may well have to have at least a Bronze paid membership before you can upload images to a gallery, so that may be part of the issue. If you don't see an "Image Gallery" or "upload images to gallery" option on your 'Settings' page, that's probably why.

If you add a gap at the top of the picture of about 120 pixels (MS Paint can do it), you get the title and then the picture without obscuring any of the picture too.

Thank you all for your replies; I'll give your suggestions a try and see how that works out.
