I would pick Romey up in my RED car, with the RED seats. I would take him on a picnic somewhere in the middle of nowhere. We would sit on a RED picnic blanket, the sun would be shining, birds would be singing, a little creek next to us would be bubbling away. Most assuredly as a day of sauntering about a large museum fuels one's appetite. My preference, though amiable to suggestions, might be somewhere with an essentially Mediterranean cuisine and a "table for the evening" philosophy (as I've discovered in Italy). This would provide ample time to discuss the many and varied interesting displays we viewed in the museum. Oh, I neglected to say that the establishment should have decent wines. Not stupidly expensive "designer" wines, but, say, something like a Gallo Nero Chanti Classico. Of course, a Barolo or Brunello would not be out of the question, though those tend to skew toward the expensive realm.

Ok, a table for the evening it is. I’ll defer to your knowledge of the wine list in choosing the dining establishment. But it sounds like the perfect way to wrap a wonderful day. Would it be too much to ask that the museum have a high-caliber dining area where we would still be able to catch something we missed?

Many do indeed have such a facility, though some have essentially a "hot dog stand" instead. However, careful selection of the venue with respect both to the curation of the collections and the dining establishment itself could perchance lead to a rather magical adventure.
