Story characters must be over 16 years old

Hi Folks,

We do not allow stories where the characters are under 16 years old. Most of the developed world has the age of consent at 16, so I believe it's fine for stories to have characters of that age or older.

Anyone submitting stories with underage characters will be banned from the site without warning.

Why is it 18 to marry without parent permission
Why is it if a girl is under 18 and was sex it's still and what is the chart headers
And the disclaimers that no one is under 18 yrs old ?

I put that disclaimer on the front page that you have to be over 18 for legal reasons, and frighten away anyone younger.

I'd also "prefer" story characters to be over 18 as a personal choice, however as the age of consent is 16, it's only fair I allow those.

I also prefer stories for the characters to be 18yo or older. I don't read stories that the characters are under 18. Just my preference.

It's hard to know where to draw the age line on certain items.

Why can a person smoke at 18 but not drink until 21 in the US?

Why can a person vote and fight for his/her country at 18, but not have a beer?

Why can a person drive and be allowed to legally drop out of school at 16 when the decision making part of the brain is not fully developed until 25?

Why can a person smoke, drink, vote, go to war, own a home...but NOT rent a car until age 25? (I'm guessing car rental agencies pay attention to the brain research).

They tried it when the 18 yr old got the vote, but it got back into the school much to easy. So the age was raised.

Why can a person vote and fight for his/her country at 18, but not have a beer?


I was 18 in the service and could drink ( 1974-77), but now - ask Chef if that is still true.

But not in Minnesota while out parent or gaurdian permission. Other state not sure.

You misunderstood...

I just don't like reading stories where the characters are the same age as my son. It makes it totally non-erotic for me because it'd be like being turned on by my son, which is soooo not my thing.

As for thinking my son is a virgin or not....we talk very openly and I know where he stands on sex.

I've just now removed all stories and banned someone for submitting a story involving three 11 year old boys.

The warnings are even on the story submission page now, there are no excuses.
