Business Insider has assembled the latest Census data on which states Americans are emigrating from and immigrating to, and it appears the recent trend continues:
“More than 8.2 million Americans moved to different states between 2021 and 2022, 100,000 of whom moved from California to Texas. New US Census migration data showed that thousands of Americans are leaving California and New York in favor of Florida and Texas.
The top four migration flows for 2021 and 2022 were the same as last year, though Californians' moves to Nevada, Washington, and Oregon were more popular last year."

ElCocko doesn't understand that the largest generation of Americans is in retirement age... and that a regular house in California can get you a mansion in another state, completely paid for, with money to spare.
Even lower and middle class Californian homeowners have many options. Home ownership in California is a real investment that pays off.
Unfortunately some Americans born in certain states don't have as many options. It's either stay there or pay off a trailer in Kentucky or something.
