Is there a process you use to determine what story you will read? Is it the title or the tags that peak your attention? Do you only read offerings from certain authors? Is there an image required? Are there certain categories that you adore? Just wondering.
I usually don't have time to search for stories to read. Most often, my friends send me PMs or BBs asking me to read their new stories, and if I have time, those are the ones I read.

I agree with Beffer about the time challenge. All my friends are wonderful writers and I'm woefully behind schedule trying to keep up.
A cover image is always nice, but not required. I have to like the topic and/or the way it's presented. Some of you have really spoiled me!

Regarding Lush stories, I not care much for looking about authors, recommended read, or favored stories here.
I find they are mostly never my favorites anyway.
I mostly logon Lush to chat, check mail, play in the forums, und cybersex when I'm horny.
I've read very few stories from anyone that gets me hot, it never has been so good a mind fuck like cybersexing with friends here.
If I want to read a good, sensual, Romance Novel?
I like to feel the book in my hands, feel the pages with my fingers, und the smell of a new binder,
so I go to a bookstore to find something I like from an established author.
I like to keep the classic books too, I have about 300 hardbound,
und friends have purchased for me 4 very old first editions too, so that works for me...smiles
When I not want all the cyber chat foreplay, just time to myself, und only want to orgasm quickly?
Sometime I look to re-read the stories here I do like, or I look for certain Story Tags in the Genre I like.
The Story Tags mostly work pretty well to get me to a dirty story I want...smiles
On Lush, my decision of what to read is greatly influenced by category, tags, description, and title. I tend to skip over anything in a series unless it’s the first entry or I’m in the mood to go all the way back and read up to that installment. The higher the rating, views, and number of comments helps pique my interest although there is also something adventurous about trying to seek out a hidden gem. As far as any specific category or genre, yeah I have my favorites but I also enjoy being surprised by something outside of my usual norm.
Outside of Lush, it depends on what is on my shelf. I like to buy hardcovers with interesting titles, those from favorite authors, or any I have heard mentioned through word-of-mouth so I have several stacks that could use some love. I used to let my kindle recommend new books to me but then it broke and I haven’t bothered to replace it.
I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?
I don't read a lot on here, but the pecking order tends to be:
Comp entries (if there's one going on)
Writers that I like/admire/worship
Anything else that catches my fancy
Every now and then, something on the front page will catch my eyes and I'll read it. Though often it falls into category 2.
Usually the author, I have a few I follow. If you are looking to read stories about a real couple based on true events why not try mine.
