um .. me being thick most likely .. pop to me is any carbonated liquid. Soda is just carbonated water .. um coke/pepsi is clearly sold with various additives .. all bad I would think .. oh dear
It seems that everywhere I go here in the US, it is called a different name. I was taught that it was soda or soda pop. However, just a few miles form me they call it tonic!!
We call coca-cola 'coke' but other ones 'soft drink'
I prefer the hard drink myself.
Coke. It's always Coke. It doesn't matter what kind of drink you are actually ordering, you're ordering a Coke. Unless it's a Pepsi, and that's only because saying you want a flat, recarbonated Coke is a mouthful.
Pop. For each flavor of course I am brand specific. All carbonated soda drinks are "pop". If I want Pepsi, Root Beer, Creme Soda, Fresca, etc. I say so, but I call it pop in general.
In general, it is all pop, but if I want a Pepsi, I will ask for it, and be told they only serve Coke products...lol
pop. but if i want a diet coke or pepsi i'll just ask for that.
I usually just call it soda until someone asks me what specific "brand" (Dr. Pepper, Pepsi, etc.) I would like
obviously it's tonic.....what can i say, it's a Boston thing.....
I catch myself using all those words..
all of them, and even the devil. I kicked my soda/pop/coke/pepsi/devil habit over two years ago! I was drinking close to 3 liters a day ...
Water...
I dont drink soda, pop, or coke
I call it soda but my brother and sister in
Law call it pop
It has changed over time. When I was a kid, I knew it as pop, and seldom was allowed to have it. When I joined the navy, most people just referred to it as coke. Somewhere along the line, I took to calling it soda. My favorite flavor / brand is Coca Cola.
