Yep, I'll second the motion. It shows its age when I compare it to other forums I am on that use current, commercial forum software, but it works well enough for its purpose and has been a real treat to hang out on. The new site is definitely more modern but old Lush has its charms, too. It has a feel that is quite different from the very slick, stripped interface of 2.0 (assuming 2.0 is basically the same as SS 2.0).

I learned to write here, and I met my wife here, and several valuable friends. Lush 1.0 will always hold a place in my heart.
From what've I've gathered at SS 2.0, some things will be better, some will be worse, but overall it's definitely an improvement. The Forums are MUCH slicker, and that's where I spend most of my time anyway.
So thanks Lush 1.0, and thanks to the people who kept it running, and thanks especially to all the wonderful folks who write stories here. Not to get maudlin, but writing is a special, holy thing, even if you're writing porn (maybe especially if you're writing porn), so I like to think sites like this make the world a better place.

Yes, thank you Lush 1.0 for providing me with an outlet for my imagination and also enabling me to establish some wonderful online relationships. I hope to see you all in the New World.
Change is the essence of life it is said. I'm nostalgic for the way things are and apprehensive about the way things will be, but without change in life, there is only death. Speaking for myself, it might be easier to use on mobile devices, but I spend little time in Lush from my cell phone, if for no other reason, the screen is way too small for me to do anything other than check-in from time to time. So that is not going to be a draw for me. Personally, I'd rather see a clean slate entirely - everyone starts from ground zero as they say; no importation of stories, forum threads, nothing. Just a new platform. Oh, get rid of the voting on stories and get rid of the badges too. Clean and simple, a place to read and write stories. Nothing more and nothing less.
I also learned to write here at 1.0, and continue to learn everyday. I met my husband here and a lot of really good friends. I am so thankful to the Lush crew that keep this place running smoothly and I am really excited about the upcoming changes.
, with its huge user base, its massive amount of content, and to keep it up and running while trying to fight off technical and financial debt, is no simple feat, at all.
