Congratulations, Kimmi... 😊😘

Thank you for the setup, Lion! I can smell the coffee, and have a Bear-sized mug o' tea sitting by my elbow.
Yes, I'm sorry to see Pope Francis die. IMHO he was one of the best Popes during my lifetime – embodying the compassion that Jesus asked for him his followers rather than the conservative doctrinaire approach I fear his successor will take.
Oh well. This, too, shall pass.
And speaking of passing, Jay and I are crossing the border to go visit my younger brother and his wife in Ann Arbor today, visiting for three days. If I'm a little spotty in my appearance, it's not acne – I'm just not here!
Y'all take care of yourselves and each other in my absence, OK?

Someone on another site that I am on pointed out that Francis actually nominated a good chunk of the current college so another progressive (by Catholic standards) pope is a possibility. But, yeah, one hopes they don't regress here.
And I have started a prolific Kimmi party over in Inspirations to celebrate her new badge and achievement. Pop by if you can.
Good luck with the border, James. Hope bears have an easier time of it than humans seem to these days.
Tea. Earl Grey. Hot. And one of those berry turnovers the lion put out.
A strange little something for Halloween.
I know that fan vid of Storytime. That's the Nightwish concert in Toronto from the last tour. The woman who shot that was active on Floor's website at the time. I had a medical appointment that day and pandemic measures were still somewhat in force so I didn't feel like traveling. Regretted it, too, when about a year later they announced they were taking a break from touring, at least as Nightwish. Almost all of them are on the road with side projects this year.
Good morning. Getting some nice weather at the moment.
No comp entry yet. Have the basic plot worked out and the opening scene written but have not felt much like writing. Or anything. Very low energy for some reason.
Tea. Earl Grey. Hot.
A strange little something for Halloween.
Good luck, O King of the Beasts. Hope this goes well. And "toe condom". I love it. 😁
Good morning. Irish Breakfast and a cookie.
My wife left me yesterday. It's been a while coming so I was well-prepared...😲
😁... she's back tomorrow. Went to a university in a neighboring city to help score a math competition. Probably not as fun as scoring a Lush comp but math is her thing.
A strange little something for Halloween.
Hiya Rumpies
Goodness, Fuzzy, you’ve been through it with that foot. Hope the procedure goes well! ❤️
I have the Math thing in common with your wife, Mr Ape. Always loved it. Don’t use my degree, though.
I’m still wrangling in my comp entry. It will be a different format—cut into six ~650-word chapters. It’s storyline heavy. Hoping to publish before I leave for vacation on May 8th.
I’ll take some caffeine, please!
Kindness is contagious. Spread it! ❤️
Well I see the joint is still a dump. It's nice that our standards haven't improved any while I was away!
Thank you, O Lordly Lion, for your care and attention while I was away. I do most appreciate it!
Now, let's get-Fried-Day started.
We're using 49th Parallel coffee blend today, as a reminder that Dennis the Orange Menace is back at his "51st State" shit.
I guess he figures that if China is too big to bully, he'll pick on someone smaller. Elbows Up, Canucks!
Donuts, of course.
Red Rose and Earl Grey teas on the sideboard, plus lotta other fine teas in the box, and hot chocolate mix for them what wants it.
And some really yummy looking cream pastries, guaranteed to get your heart a-pitter-patting.
Hot Island comp, eh? Nothing cums to mind, so I let it cogitate. Just heard about it since I just got back home.
Meanwhile, I'll be back in Kimmi's Korner, seeing if I can't shed some fur now that Spring's here.
Take care out there, eh?

Looks like Lion's toe is making a comeback – or a reasonable facisimile thereof.
Hope it works well, and doesn't hurt, my friend!
Take care, OK?
Bear I'm sorry to report the removal of said big toe and this lion threw a fit when they went after my second toe

A word Bear
Welcome back
Now let's get the jukebox hopping
1st up hmmmmmmmm
Black Sabbath
Paranoid on Harps from the Harp Twins.
I never know what shows up
With their friends the Volfgang Twins on percussion. Two sets of twins, one female and one male. The Lush story practically writes itself, even if it might have to go in THAT category.
Good afternoon. My head hurts. Anyone got an Advil handy?
A strange little something for Halloween.
Good morning King of the Beats. Yes, that's a typo but I am letting it stand. Fits, I think.😁
Bit grey here but I am not planning anything big outdoors. Supposed to be nicer tomorrow so maybe clean the garage and service my bike.
Couple good albums out yesterday in the world of metal. Megastars Ghost and the lesser known but arguably more interesting Swiss folk metal band Eluveite. So I am posting the latter. Singer is band member Fabienne Erni, a wonderful young woman from Switzerland who also does some interesting solo and guest work.
A strange little something for Halloween.
Lights on, Lady Dryad has cleaned up and we’re ready to go.
It's Market Day, so I will be brief. I may not wear any, but there you go.
Tea Kettle is refilled and ready. There are pots of Red Rose and Lasang Salchow available on the sideboard, plus all the other fine teas in the box. Sachets of Swiss Miss are available, along with the usual mound of mini marshmallows.
Big Bertha has been cleaned, rinsed, and refilled, and is now perkin' away.
Today we're using Folgers for our wounded friend.
I've put out donuts and some Mille Feuilles for y'all
Take care out there, 'K?
