Prince Philip sadly died today at the age of 99
Be nice to each other

Well terribly sad news but given his very recent spell in hospital not unexpected I would suggest. Bless the Queen, all the children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 10th June he would have been 100.

May HRH the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Phillip RIP

Let his legacy live on.
Very, very sad because he was held in very high esteem in the UK not just because he was the Queen's Consort, he was quite the raconteur, witty, and funny. His Duke of Edinburgh scheme was immensely popular with younger people and with a Gold award, he gave the award personally to them. People liked him because he spoke his mind.

Also, he got out and about a lot and was very happy to chat to people. Here's one example from someone the weekend.

I met Prince Philip once whilst I was running on a remote track at Balmoral. Range Rover pulled up behind me

“What the bloody hell are you doing young man?”

“Training Sir”

“What for?”

“Rugby Sir”

“Good man!”

He then waved & drove off - at speed

He will be greatly missed.
I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He was the longest serving Prince Consort in history and a great support to The Queen. Also he was a man of wide and varying interests from naval history to polo, cricket, wildlife, conservation, environmental issues, engineering and theology - to name just a handful. He will be greatly remembered for his sometimes offbeam humour which was really designed to break the ice, but sometimes got misunderstood. I think he actually said a lot of things that many people of a certain age thought but didn't dare say themselves. May he rest in peace.
I didn't find out the news until two days ago...I am deeply sadden about his passing.
