The thing is you're new and there lies the problem. I saw Wolverine's post and saw the amusing side to it but I've seen lots of his posts. When you have been in the forums you'll get to know people and how they write. There's no point getting into public fights it's better to send a pm. Some threads do get a bit fiesty but I can see you'll be ok.
Try to give people the benefit of doubt, at least at first, you'll soon realize if they're trying to be humourous or not.
