Happy New Year to all.

I've been in Paris several times for NYE as I live in France and it is nice ... but this time I'm in NYC and it is even better!

Oh yes, the Musée d'Orsay ... used to be a fabulous train station and would have long ago been torn down had it not been landmarked. The platforms and tracks are still under the building but unfortunately no longer accessible to the public. If you go from Saint-Michel towards Invalides on the RER C, you can see them on the left hand side of the train just before it pulls in to the Musée d'Orsay stop.
It's extremely fortunate that the building was saved, restored, and turned into one of Europe's finest art museums!

So all of you have a great 2010, and above all, this cancer survivor hopes you all stay healthy!
