Cheating... in the NFL

Did the commissioner get the penalties right for deflating footballs prior to the start of NFL games this past season? Does this call into question all the other games & Super Bowl wins for the Patriots. Million dollar fine to the organization, loss of draft picks in 2016 & 2017... 4 game suspension for Tom Brady.

Does this taint Brady's legacy and harm his chances of being voted into the HOF in Canton, 5 years after he hangs up his cleats? I think anytime a person or an organization is caught cheating or skirting the rules of any of the various games - it's a fairly serious matter. Otherwise, why even have rules..?

Comedians are going to have some fun at their expense in the short term.

The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

well, obviously Castle is not a fan of American Football! (or daytime TV - soaps?)

But for those of us who are a fan ... it's a big deal!

The NFL is really working hard to ensure that the playing fields are level ... and that is a good thing!

About Tom Brady ..... for sure this is going to taint how the public and fans look at him! Look at Pete Rose (gambling).... or anyone who "cheated" at their game. What about Lance Armstrong? There was the Black Sox Scandal. Who the fuck wants to say "he's a winner" when the question remains .... "Is he really a winner?"

OMG .... and the Seahawks and their fans will be up in arms over this ....

Hall of Fame ... he should be in there with his stats .... but will it be like how fans loved Joe Montana, Jim Kelly, Dan Marino? I doubt it .... either you like Brady or you can't stand him.

I'm of the latter ....

Cheers!

I'm of the latter .... I love WWE, I know it is scripted. But with the nfl, cheating has always been there. Look at the saints, they payed for their Super Bowl, and there is the whole bounty scandal

Cheers!

Isn't it about time to get your collar removed ?

The Patriots have cheated before. I think as an organization their ethics are among the lowest in the NFL, if not the lowest. It does hang a cloud over their accomplishments, but when the day is done, the American public will soon forget. Tom Brady, partly because of his pretty boy looks, is a very marketable product, so he'll never get the punishment he deserves.

Under inflated footballs probably made a huge difference in that AFL Championship game. As cold as the weather was, the Colts QB struggling with a cold tight football would most likely consistently be throwing a few inches off target. That IS a big deal in a football game, especially considering Brady has his footballs under inflated so he could get a bitter grip, making his passes more accurate. No wonder the score ended up lopsided.

With their previous history for cheating whenever possible, add to it this Deflategate scandal, just how many other cheating activities have the Patriots gotten away with over the years?

And how about Coach Belichick? And why doesn't owner Robert Kraft and his team get a serious enough financial fine to actually punish them? What about being banned from TV for the season, along with a loss of TV revenue?

Even with Brady's suspension and all, this is all just glossed over.

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••

Is it time to put Pete Rose in the Baseball Hall of Fame. Hell, didn't he always bet on his team to win? If he'd been as pretty as Tom Brady, would baseball have lifted its sanctions on him?

Would y'all love to see Tom Brady get his face rearranged?

How much longer will Peyton Manning play?

Will Tim Tebow ever play again?

Who has the ugliest mascot in the NFL?

Are they? If they were, they would have made sure the Patriots were playing with properly inflated gameballs during the entire game instead of waiting an entire half in the 2nd biggest game of the season. The NFL never cared about this rule before. If they did, they wouldn't have enforced it so loosely. But suddenly the big bad Patriots are involved, SCANDAL, CHEATERS! Gotta love this guilty until proven innocent society we live in today...

Why? The balls were properly inflated in the Superbowl.

Oh yeah, that 17-7 score in the first half was pretty lopsided.kArDBSTpRKaSo5O0 Or are you implying the Patriots managed to deflate the balls after the refs inflated the balls at halftime to get an actual lopsided score of 28-0 in the 2nd half?

This is more believable than the Wells report.
