The easy answer is money, since watching everyone you care about die time and time and time again would likely drive a person insane or into hermitage.

But, as long as we're bringing up living forever, are you the only one? If there are a few people you can relate to who are going to be there with you for the long haul, that would make a difference.

Live forever. You will have plenty of time to 'make your wealth'.

Travel the world...learn all there is to know...

Long life doesn't guarantee happiness. I don't think I want to live for ever. The older I get, the more pain and suffering I see. Being wealthy doesn't guarantee happiness or good health or anything either! I just want to live a life surrounded by people that I can love and that love me, with an adequate amount of wealth and a dose of great health. Wealth without health is pretty useless too, I think. OK that's it.... love, wealth and health, but not eternal life.

wealthy. not that i'm consumed with wealth, but i don't want to watch my loved ones die. plus, it'd be fun to grant some fantasies where the only thing holding someone back is finances.

Say. Her. Name.

I don't think I would find either all that appealing

Definitely wealthy. That way I could ensure that all my friends and family were able to be comfortable and not worry about money. That in itself is priceless. All I ask is that I get to be around for a few years to enjoy it. Wouldn't be worth living forever if you have to watch everyone you care about suffer.

Well Duh! Money is a commodity. It comes and goes. I'm fairly well off and would trade it all for health and longevity. Life is precious. Given long enough I guarantee wealth will come.

I would definitely love to be wealthy. I wouldn't want to live forever, unless I didn't age ever.

The key term is "very" wealthy... I'm happy to be just averagely wealthy and live forever :P

Others have mentioned the constant pain and suffering of losing loved ones, but I would take my endless years as an opportunity to learn and help others.
Money has little value to me, knowledge and ability rank far higher.
Who knows, I may just invent something to increase the life span of folk so that others don't have to make this tough choice!

Sorry, I would rather be "very" wealthy. Then I and my fellow wealthy lushies who opted out of immortality could aid the other mere mortals in need our help.

I agree. Wealth doesn't solve problems, it creates them. What would be the point of living forever? Would you cherish anything anymore?

Eternal life. It would suck to see any of my loved ones to die. But that could happen at anytime. Imagine all the places you'd see and what you could learn!

Live forever giv es me a chance to do everything and see anything. BUt also it gives me enough time to gather money and all.

Live forever. Gives me plenty of time to get it right and have all that I want and need. Wealth can be measured in so many different ways besides money. I'm quite wealthy anyway. My wealth comes like I said in many forms.

since by most definitions, I am already considered wealthy, I guess I will pick living forever

Live FOREVER :-), but I do have some contingencies. I'd have to stay young, healthy and be able to regenerate limbs and nerve function. Just saying, it would really suck to live forever like poor Christopher Reeves

I would rather be wealthy. I think living forever might get tedious, and perhaps hellish, if one gets ill and cannot get better. But being wealthy for a normal life span would be a wonderful way to live your life, doing the things you want to do, seeing the world, laughing and loving, and not having to do a job that you hate.

Wealth means nothing to me. I have more than I will ever spend in a lifetime now, so imagine what I would accumulate if I lived forever. The best option for me is to live now, enjoy every precious moment, enjoy and maintain my good health, love like there is no tomorrow and most importantly, regret nothing.

I'd take the wealth... Wouldn't want to watch everyone I know and love die... Besides, with wealth I can change so many lives...

I think live forever as long as I was healthy. I dont want some one to have to take care of me. So as long as I am healthy yes, live. I have been given a second chance for happiness, So yes I pick live!!

If these are the only two choices, then I'd have to say I'd rather be wealthy, but not for the reason you may think.

The bad part about living forever is that you get to see everyone you ever cared about, everyone you ever loved, grow old and die. Imagine a life that is filled with just as much never-ending pain and sorrow of loss and grief as it is with joy and pleasure. The human heart can only take so much, and I believe this scenario would prove that to be true. I believe it because my parents are elderly, both in their late 80's, and they have outlived all of the friends and relations of their youth. Both of them are the last surviving siblings of their families, and they've seen everyone pass before them. Now they are living to be with each other, as they have done for more than 60 years, until they too pass and can once again be with those whom they loved.

Live forever? No, thank you. I'd rather be wealthy and be able to do all of the things I want to do in the relative short time that I have on this big blue ball we call home.

Who wants to be the richest person in the local cemetery?

I'm fairly sure it beats outliving all the stars in the universe.
