Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

Mine would have to be the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (William & Kate).

How do we define met?

In their presence for a minute or two with a handshake(s) or having at least a five minute conversation with them?

If it is the former.

If it is the later..

Yep. Edward James Olmos.

Bladerunner.

You'd probably know him best from the new version of Battlestar Galactica.
I have a few close, well known friends - and because of our friendship, I won't name them. They're cool people, laid back and down to earth.

One is a punk rock singer / stand up talk performer - and I wrote him when my husband was deployed in 2007. I was drunk, he was comforting (not in person. LOL) . . . and we've been friends ever since.

The other is the sister to a performer who recently passed on - she ran into issues while trying to set up various things to memorialize her brother and I helped her out. We're still close.
I've met qutie a few celebrities but the one that stood out the most was John Ratzenberger from Cheers. When Michael Dukakis was running for President of the United States John Ratzenberger went every place with him. John Ratzenberger was and is one of the biggest pompous assholes I've ever met in my life.

I've also met Whoopi Goldberg, Olivia Newton-John, Loretta Swit, Bill Walton, and for those of you who remember Hee Haw, The Hagar Twins......
Met prince Andrew a couple of times x
i got to hang out with jimmy buffet of "margaritaville" fame when i got bumped from a flight from miami to la. we sat next to each other in 1st class. he got me tix and backstage passes to one of his shows. he was a great guy. only a little pervy, caught him looking down my shirt on the flight a few times, but it was kinda cool
i met Neil Gaiman once at a book signing and Tori Amos at a concert. smile they were both very lovely to me.

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I once stood next to Yule Brenner in an airport restroom
And no, I didn't talk to him ....
There was this huge black guy (think Rosy Greer) standing by the wall, watching ....
He didn't say anything, but I got the hint

Sooooo jelly! I love Neil Gaiman!

My "lesser" know famous people include Robert Jordan's wife and Brandon Sanderson (my 2nd favorite author right now) and Patrick Rothfuss (my absolute favorite author right now).
Jim Kelly, cool guy
I've met Prince Charles on a few occasions and was at the passing-out parade when Prince William collected his wings. I have also bought Prince Harry a beer.

Tom Paxton - lovely, lovely man and great troubadour.
I dated a guy in college, whose dad owned a Ford dealer in Indianapolis which sponsored a drag racing team. When they had the NHRA Nationals at Indy, they used to have weigh-ins at the mall, so I got to meet a lot of the big name racers: Big Daddy, Arnie the Farmer, Gas Rhonda, One-Handed Willie, and Shirley Muldownie come to mind off hand

I once got invited to party with Alice Cooper and his band (My roommate knew someone who blew someone)

And I once met Jay Leno at the Dusey Days show -- I live near where the Duesenberg Brothers got their start, and they have a big doings every year
Dave Gilmour of Pink Floyd :-).
Who's More Famous?

Donald Trump - Talked with him for about 20min in a NYC restaurant bar. I was with 3 friends and he paid our bar tab.

or

Clint Eastwood - Sat next to him on a Flight from Detroit to NY (he was much older than in this picture but this is how I like to think of Clint. Yummy!!). Was really nice guy, quiet and unassuming.

I'll go with Clint

I met them in 2003 at Ozzfest. It was before they were so popular in the metal world actually. They still rock!!! Killswitch engage if you aren't a metalhead.

I would have to say The Who in their 1979 incarnation with Kenny Jones...my friend and I bribed the doorman of the Hotel Navarro where The Who stay when they do shows in the NY area, this was after one of the Capital Theater shows here in NJ, and we were let up to one of their after show parties...we saw both those NJ shows, and all the NY shows at Madison Square Garden btw...

Smoked a joint with John Entwistle...for all that's worth...

Spent a more significant amount of time with legendary guitarist Roy Buchanan though, got to meet and hang out with him and one other person in his room at the New York Hilton after a 1982 gig at The Bottom Line in NYC...that was fun, got to touch his '53 Telecaster...and again, there was a certain amount of partying that went along with his story telling...
