Met Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden when he was doing his first solo tour in 1990. Got his book The Adventures of Lord Iffy Boatrace autographed
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge
Probably John Taylor, Nick Rhodes and Simon LeBon from Duran Duran.
Have also met Rick Springfield, Collective Soul, John Waite and a few others.
I have met a lot of famous people in my lifetime. Peggy Lee, Kenny Rogers, The whole Journey band, Dolly Parton, Bonnie Raitt, Soleil Moon Frye (which I met on a plane to LA and partied all weekend at her house), I kind of lost count and who all I have met. I am always attending some function or getting invited to a concert and getting to meet the bands. Of course there are lots of people famous today from my home town and I knew them before they were famous.

I have met many along "life's highway." You would think I was exaggerating if I told you Jimmy Carter bought a book at my shop. Many have had coffee in my shop also.
I once met a gentleman called Ian Anderson..... aka Jethro Tull.
I was once shoved out of the way by Mick Jagger.
Bryan Adams, back in 1997 he put off a free show at a mall and had a meet and greet afterward.
"Yeah, we all shine on, like the moon, and the stars, and the sun." John Lennon
Take a look at my new poem for the competition:
Jane Fonda, Randy Savage, Elliott Gould and a few others
Michael Jordan.
First thing he said to me, upon looking at my shoes, was "What are you wearing New Balance for, man?"
Still cracks me up.
Michael Jordan here too but he was not looking at my shoes ;)
Sitting at the edge of darkness
I guess "most famous" would be a relative term.
Probably Bob Seger in this context (someone that most of the population would know). I was a Sophomore in high school and he played for the senior party. I had friends in the drama club that would be called upon to help with stage set ups when we had concerts. They needed a few extra hands and I volunteered, while I was not allowed to attend the concert, I did get to hang out back stage while they set up and did sound checks. He and his band members and road crew were most gracious to all of us volunteers.
Others I have met: Don Garlits, Shirley Muldowney, Carol Shelby, Don Nicholson, Arnie Beswick, Tommy Ivo, Mitch Ryder and a few others that escape me at the moment
Michelle Branch: Talked songwriting and mutual love of REM, one of the sweetest people I've ever met. Got autograph and pic!
Kevn Kinney (Drivin n Cryin), several times, really cool and talented songwriter. Many Autographs.
Terry Brooks and Harry Harrison, met them at a sci-fi convention in the early '90's, got books signed by both.
Larry Elmore: Amazing fantasy artist, did Dragonlance book covers etc. Signed a poster of his for me, awesome!
Randy Weaver: Met and talked with him at a gun show once, selling his book. Really nice guy that's been through alot. (Ruby Ridge)
Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly. Laugh uncontrollably and never regret anything that makes you smile - Mark Twain
Lee Trevino - on the driving range at a country club I worked at,
Several academic textbook authors.
And there was a Toronto news anchor who used to live in my neighborhood when I was a kid.
Other than that, I once found myself standing next to Doug Martsch (of the indie rock band Built to Spill) during the opening act for his band's show. It was a little awkward (mostly because I'm awkward socially), but eventually he went away back stage again, and I enjoyed the rest of the show.
Don't believe everything that you read.
Sassy Red-haired Beach Kat/Dune Goddess
Robin Zander and Rick Nielsen and Daxx Nielsen from Cheap Trick.
Mick Jones, Kelly Hansen, and Jeff Pilson from Foreigner.
And a bunch of NBA basketball players back in the late 80s, early 90s
The most famous would probably be Liz Taylor. But the circumstances made it especially interesting.
Went on a 'poker run' with a local motorcycle club back in the late 80s. When we got to the party site, Malcolm Forbes showed up with his group (Capitalist Tools) and he had Liz with him. I was surprised how petite she was.
It was cool watching her hang with the bikers.
