Paul McCartney

Backed into him in a linen store in Beverly Hills.
Almost knocked him over and fell on top of him.

Although they would not remember me. The two most powerful people were Senator John Kerry before he became Sec of State and I met Vice President Joe Biden once. I've met several actors and actresses, none of them seemed approachable. Truth be said it might have been me as I'm told I can be standoffish and I come across as snooty sometimes.

Sergei Bubka (pole vaulter) and Tamara Bykova (high jumper) at a track and field awards banquet in NYC. I was seated next to them. KGB had a camera on them the whole time.
Tom Clancy on a flight from Houston to Baltimore.
Jon Voight at the 2008 RNC in St Paul.
Steve Prefontaine, Jim Ryun, Dwight Stone, Al Feuerbach back in my track and field days.

Living in NYC, celebs are seen more often than you'd expect.

My favorites:
Ariel Sharon - not because of who he is but because he hit on my wife and we have a great picture of him ogling her.
Robbie Williams - Friends with him. Been to his house in LA and saw a Take That concert in London a few years back. Not a big fan of his music.
Alec Baldwin - twice. Once he played with my daughter while we waited for a table and then, when they sat him first, even though I was there before him, he gave us his table. The second time was buying shoes and he tried to convince me to buy the socks at the store as well.
Richard Gere - He was knocking a super expensive sound system I was checking out while killing time in a store.
John Stewart and Steve Webber - Webber tried to convince me to let my sister fly with them back to the city for a party. Stewart was mostly mortified by the whole scene. I ran into him years later, he was walking with his wife and inlaws and he was clearly going out of his mind.
James Brown - ran into him leaving a NYC hotel.
Hallie Berry - literally bumped into her after an awards show. I was speechless and thanked her. She got a kick out of it. My date, not so much.
Stevie Wonder - same event. he sat next to me to eat.
Sinbad - same event, cohosted with Hallie Berry. He leaned over and whispered that I should steal Stevie's fries. Ran into Sinbad again this past year in an airport and reminded him of the night.
James Gandolfini - in a park playing with his son, acting out animal sounds for him, all the while realizing that everyone was watching Tony Soprano act like a clown.
Hugh Heffner - shared a table with him, and his girls, at a charity event.
Annie Sprinkle - I was a kid, it was creepy and odd.

All time favorites:
BB King. Sat behind him at a charity concert. He was sitting with Bono and Bill Clinton but he's a god, they are not.
Danny DeVito - flew home from LA with him on our flight. 2 medical emergencies on the flight, including 1 emergency landing in Chicago and he was beyond entertaining and fun.

Least favorites:
Both Clintons
Brad Pitt - he lived in the loft above me, with Gwynneth, for about 9 month. She was nice, he was a dick. I got a bit of revenge a few years later when I saw him, with Jennifer Aniston, and we were standing around and started talking. I reminded him that we had met when he lived with Gwynneth in NYC and he was looking at me like I was the biggest asshole in the world for bringing it up.

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

I have been fortunate to meet many people that most would consider famous. Some were sports figures, some were in entertainment industry and some were famous because of their position in life. Also fortunate to call some of them friends, today, and that I stay in contact with and enjoy seeing from time to time.

Sexiest was Teryl Rothery, who played the doctor in early seasons of Stargate SG1, hugging her was wonderful. Claudia Christian was at the same event, sexy Susan Ivanova from Babylon 5. She showed me her centrefold spread she did for Playboy magazine and she talked about posing to look sexy with what we have. She was taller than me so hugging her was not as cuddly as hugging Teryl, but still nice.

I shook hands with Barry Goldwater when I was 16 and he was on the campaign trail. But I talked with
Kevin Harvick and got a picture with him in 2005.

The most laid-back relaxed "celeb" I ever met was Dirk Benedict, I fell in love with Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica when I was a kid, adored him as Faceman in The A Team. I was at the bar trying to get served at a Cult Television event, not easy when you are only 5 ft 3, and out of nowhere this long arm reached over to attract the attention of the barman, and this voice from my past ordered tonic water and whatever the lady is having. I turned to thank my unknown hero and it was him, that smile alone made we want to lie down for him, he was gorgeous, age had matured him, made him even more handsome. We chatted for a few minutes before other fans came along and he was the centre of a group, telling them of his experiences and his battle against cancer. He is the perfect gentleman.

I met Jerry Rice at the airport when he was on Dancing with the Stars, and I said "Hey, you're that sports guy!" he said, yes, and sort of laughed. Ok, I am not a Football person, so even though he's like the most famous wide reciever of all time, and 20 years with the Forty Niners. (I found this all out later smile He replied with a smirk and a smile, "Yes, I am..." and then I asked if he played Basket Ball...so, my fellow F/A comes along and says "I'll take over." I step back and then it clicked..."DANCING WITH THE STARS!" I was so excited...omg....

Jim Brown, but I already knew who he was. He was very nice and I got to hold his Superbowl ring. It was heavy!

Snoop Dog (he flew a lot, so I met him a few times)

But, the most famous person was Johnny Cash, I played it cool, thank God.

Others were Sammy Hagar, Bob Eubanks, James Hetfield (I went to school with him).

Oh, and Lee Greenwood

I have three famous stories, 2 recommended reads and have come in the top ten in two competitions~ Come in and make yourself at home.
