Retired but was a Flight Attendant for 14 of my 24 years with SWA. Now, living the dream ;-)

So Southwest has not changed in well, the last time I flew with them was back in 2001...it was like catching a train or bus. Maybe they have real boarding passes now. So you are with Delta now? Well, maybe not. They pull stewards out of retirement from my experiences.

LOL! Yes, actually it's changed a LOT. When i left the boarding process had completely changed. A-lister's and Business Select boarded first (they didn't have to stand in line, there was a separate line just for them) and anyone could pay $10.00 for early bird check in and could board after the Business Select. Mind you, I was inflight, and it's been a few years, but no, it's not quite so cattle call anymore (a phrase you just KNOW we came to LUV! LOL!)

Still open seating though. They did a trial run with assigned seating in San Diego and Austin but our Customers hated it. Here's a fun little bit of trivia, though. It was a Customer that came up with the A-List boarding. That way frequent flyers weren't stuck in-between obnoxious people, and there was always room in the over head bins for their luggage.

As for Delta? OH god no, lol!
