I used to be a member of Lusty Library, and when they closed, I found this awesome place. The motivation for joining there, is the same for joining here: not as much of a fan of watching porn as I am reading a good story and imagining all the details. If I read a story and don't enjoy everything about it, I can change aspects in my mind, but with porn, it is what it is. Then being able to create my own story and share it. The positive feedback feels good, and it's an outlet that combines sexuality and creativity.
Originally, I hoped to make friends along the way, but I've found that I'm significantly better at it in person than I am online. So it remains mostly reading and writing stories.
Starting to forum surf more and more, and enjoying some of the other things one can find here.

Honest answer to this question. I came here originally to find stories to read while masturbating. When you had a sexless marriage you need some form pleasure.
