The worst for me has to be being submerged in water, I used to hate swimming lessons at school. I could swim well enough not to be in the begineers group, so they moved me to the next group and always tried to make me drive under the water.
To this day I still get panicked at putting my head below the water. Its a bit of a bummer really as I would love to enjoy water sprots, but if theres a chance that I could go under I just cant do it.
I did manage to concour part of my fear on holiday when I went snorkeling.
The other big one is enclosed spaces. I was at one of those adventure play parks, going through one of those plastic tunnels, two horrible boys decided it would be funny to trap me in the middle and not let me out, I shit myself (for all those non-british - this phrase is not to be taken literally lol - It means I was very scared ;-)
strangers.
i tends to be very shy around new people. that is one of the reasons i have rarely had a one night stand.
As I have read through the 3+ pages of posts, I realized I was/am scared of a lot more stuff then I thought...lol I am in full agreement with a lot of what is written here.
My lasting creep out has to be SPIDERS...Hate the little bastards....when I see one it's life expectency is the length of time it takes me to get some TP so I can grab it and scrunch it...
Pink elphants on parade from dumbo!
anything that have legs more than 4...and/or no legs at all....[shudder]
Not many things scared me, but I've allways had this thing that something was in my shower. Now, when I pull back the curtain, I allways think something might be in there lol.
Anything you think is sweet, I'm a little more than that.
I think there is something that scares everyone and tho most might not admit to it... There are things in horror/scary films that freak people out on some level ... Otherwise why spend your time watching it?
For me anything that deal with ghosts, spirits, or paranormal stuff... i just cant handle it...
not scared of anything.........maybe huge water bodies give me a chill ..when i see them at first...but then its ok after that point...
Perversely, I love thunderstorms. Fearful of snakes.
When I was a kid I stayed up late to watch Night of the Living Dead all alone. My folks had gone out with some friends and my siblings were gone as well. As the movie was finishing up, my parents and their friends had come home and saw me watching the movie. I basically watched the movie with one eye looking out from a blanket. We lived in northern California up on a mesa - it was rather rural so there weren't a lot of people around. Just as the movie was at its scariest point, my folks and their friends started banging on the doors and windows. I just about shit my pants!
For years I would often try to figure out what I would do should the zombie apocalypse happen. I can now say that I do have several contingency plans locked away in my head should that ever come to pass.
Would you like fries with that?
As a kid... Werewolves. Now... Deep water
Worms. My best friend at the time was my cuz and he would pick them up and throw them at me. Haha i would cry so hard. I think he only did it though because me and him would "fight" and i would always win :P
I used to be petrified of hights! Now depending on how high up I am, I still can be. I love rollercoasters, and rock climbing now, but you still won't see me jumping out of any planes!!
lol... the Sasquatch/Big Foot episodes on the Bionic Woman....
For some reason I was scared of heights
wearing steel plated jockey shorts during electrical storms
Close Encounters of the Third Kind...when the screws in the heater vent in the floor start unscrewing by themselves, and the vacuum cleaner turns on..fuck that.
I am scared of being pregnant before marriage.
SNAKES,LIZARDS AND EELS DID i SAY FUCKING SNAKES.
clowns. STILL hate those fuckers.
Nuns and priests still freak me out.
When you grow up on a horse farm, and learn handling horses from a young age, very little scares you. I'd have to say snakes are about the only thing I'm wiggy about. I have even caught bats bare-handed in the stables when I was little.
