To be honest I'd never heard of St. Patrick or his day until I was in my late teens I guess. And I was raised Catholic.

That was well before the arrival of the Anglo-Saxons, Danish Vikings and the Normans, when the Britons were still mostly Celtic. It was Norman kings that first targeted the Irish for kingdom expansion wasn't it? And Oliver Cromwell, well, he wasn't any fun for anyone. Wasn't he a bit of an arse? I bloody LOVE the Welsh... Well the Swansea ones I do, though I have to say the bloody water, there is FREEEZING . That time I went there with my dad for Xmas.... Still, I'm not even sure what the deal is but half of Wales doesn't like the other half and it's a big thing lol: dontknow: Cause I am not Welsh.
