A friend of mine was told 20 years ago, he had 6 months to live (kidney failure).
Five years ago my Granma was giving one year to live with the same thing kidney failure. She was giving again now a few months to live besides the kidney failure she got cancer also. her 7months have past and she is still with us. She knows about my lush friends, and loves to hear the jokes I read on here. She is one very special lady in my life.
When I was two years old, getting hit by a car saved my life.
I was crossing the street, and got hit by a car, broke my jaw, but didn't lose a drop of blood. The doctors were worried about internal injuries, and when they checked, they found a Wilms tumour, cancer on my kidney. So, thanks to getting hit by a car, I'm short one kidney, but still alive today.
Am I the only one that finds it weird all three posts are kidney related?
One second after the Big Bang, the Universe was as big as a softball.
Sometimes God does things that may not make sense to us, but there is a reason. I am so happy for all of you
My daughter is my heart and soul.

My youngest son was born 2 months premature, he weighed 3 lbs and 11 ounces. Now he is 6 years old, top of the honor roll, and you can't tell he was premature. He is one smart kid, not sure where he gets it.
Hummingbirds make their nest with spiderwebs and thistle down.
When I was diagnosed with testicular cancer, I was told that the medicines for it had only become effective 12 years before. Without those, I would have passed in 1987. One often hears that they should not give up hope because new treatments could come. It's quite differant to have your life saved by it.
Ironically, I was 23 at the time, this June will mark my 23rd year of survival. That's kind of a landmark for me.
I'm glad you're doing ok, HB.
1. Babe Ruth struck out 1330 times. Think about it.
I had fallen off a wall with glass in it and cut my wrist open, I had fallen out of a tree and reached out to grab the nearest object which happened to be a barbed wire fence and ripped my fingers open, I have nearly been blinded in one eye on several occassions, I have fallen of a boat and watched the propeller skim past my face, I have been run over, I have fallen out of a 2 storey house window and landed in a tree, I have had my head split open from fighting, have head my head split open from being stupid, I even once set myself on fire by accident, nearly got run over by a train in a cave, have nearly drowned, have had all the diseases, chicken pox, scabies, fleas, food poisoning etc, etc. I had a gas leak in my home for at least 8 weeks and never noticed until I dropped my lighter near the gas fire which they disconnected but didnt cap off properly, I am truely lucky to be alive in every sense of the word and to my amazement have never spent more than one day in hospital (although I was born with T.B) so dnt know how long I stayed in hospital and have never broken a bone in my body.
Dude. You should go to Hollywood and become a stunt man.
The first book that Dr Seuss both wrote and illustrated was rejected 27 times before being published by Vanguard Press. (It was "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street.")
When I was a boy I made up my mind to go forth into the world and prosper... I started out with nothing.. and through decades of hard work and dedication.. I still have most of it left...
I've engaged in coitus with... a lot ... of women and have never encountered an STD, nor have any of them become pregnant.
That's a bit like saying..."I've ridden motorcycles for 30 years and never wrecked yet!"
There's two types of riders - those who have wrecked and those who will.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.
