I think kids of the more famous porn stars grow up in a different kind of environment anyway. Porn has become so mainstream now and lucrative for the ones that end up turning it into a serious money-maker like "The Jenna's" (Jameson and Haze) that I don't think the new generation of kids will see it as sleazy or shocking. They might just be seen as business superstars of the sex industry. I know, not as wholesome as 'kindergarten teacher' or 'nurse' but... times are changing.
For the less well known, and more 'trainwreck pornstars'... a change of name and appearance and fading into obscurity will probably help keep things under the radar for their kids.
its a chance they take though...their kids seeing. saw a really interesting interview with one of the Jenna Jameson once. her advice to new comers was to think long and hard about it cuz "once its out there everyone will see it from your priest to your dad." so i guess that doesnt exclude kids.

It would be hell to be the child of a pornstar. Children are cruel enough to each other, all the teasing and picking on one another. The child who stands out, is too shy or lacks confidence, etc. So you can imagine what would happen to children of pornstars.

I grew up right next to the porn capitol of the world. Many of my high school friends went straight into porn once they turned 18. I can still walk through Hustler and see high school friends on the covers of videos.
Many of us now have kids. Our kids aren't old enough for much in the way of birds and the bees talks yet but we're almost there. As porn stars, they've changed their looks dramatically over the years. Screen names and identities are a must and their real information is kept a very closely guarded secret. Yet they still know that some kid will see a picture in the living room when over to play and remember an old video he saw under his dads bed and put it together. They plan to be open with their kids to a point. Saying mom or dad held a job in the adult industry is part of the plan. But just like all sensitive information, you ease into it little by little. You don't tell your kids what's wrong with the guy high on meth in great detail when their 4. You say he's sick. When he's 10 and all about say no to drugs, then you tell him the guy is high on meth. When he's 16 you take him to meet the guy high on meth and see how f'd up the guys life is. It's all about baby steps.

Yeah, I agree with you that they're people and they're just doing a job (that they love...or not). And I guess as a kid, it may be tough growing up because some people might know the job that their mom/dad once held and will give the kid crap. And think of how awkward it would be if the kid was a teenage boy and he Googled porn and saw his mom sucking off some guy! But I think it's something they have to live with. Their parents made that decision and the kid can only try and do something else and ignore society.
Unless you married your high school sweetheart and waited to have sex until after the vows. Are there still those kinds of people, if there ever was? We all have a sexual history just some more than others.
I have had a lot of partners both male and female and we set down our girls when we thought that they could comprehend about both my husband's and my sexual partners. Explain your history and its effect or non-effect on your relationship with you spouse or S/O.

Personally I agree that honesty is the best policy here. When they are old enough, if and only if you used your real name in the industry, sit them down and tell them what you did when you were younger. But definitely use a stage name.
as much porn that is made in a single day that by the time your kids are old enough to know what porn is and watch it it will be so far back in the archives they will never find it or it will be "vintage" porn. and this may sound wrong but we all know it happens in todays world. even if u tell your kids u made pornos they may like it, watching their mom or dad fuck because they have a fantasy about fucking one or both parents.
all of u are to stuck up. as much porn thats being made every day in this world there is like 1 in 5,000,000 chances they could find porn their parents make. it will be so deep in the archives that they would have to watch porn EVERY HOUR OF EVERY DAY for yrs to find it. the only problem i can think of is if u are super duper famous and your porn is going to stay popular and current for yrs after u quit the business, even then i think it will be hard because of stage names.
and besides IF they ever did manage to find porn their parents made the kid might like watching one or both parents having sex. in today's society anything like that is possible

their time until circumstances seem right.
about your career with your kids, no matter how "wholesome" it is. A healthy way to deal with this is to talk about your career choice with your kids to prevent any surprises.
