Pineapples on Pizza!!

Lemons and chicken.
Limes and pork.
Cherries and cola.
Pineapples and cheesy bread (pizza).

Sometimes fruit goes well with things. It doesn't need to make sense. And this coming from someone that turns up his nose at maple bacon donuts (a combination that I find gross but everyone else seems to swear by).

I can’t think of a good tagline so this will have to do. Suggest a better one for me?

Mushrooms, sausage, extra cheese is my perfect pizza. In a group, once I'm not having that, anything is fine. Who gets so worked up over pineapple? Like there isn't enough in the world to argue about already.

I actually like mine with just sugar most of the time, lol. If it's sweetened just right then there is no need for cream. Although, I love baileys Irish creamers from time to time. Or a French vanilla creamer....so much yum.

Hubbie and I had lunch at one of the local Italian Buffet restaurants a couple days ago. They had two pizzas with pineapple on them. One was ham and pineapple, the other was a pineapple dessert pizza. We both tried them because of this forum question. We both liked them. I put some vanilla ice cream on the desert one. They also had apple, blueberry, strawberry, and one other fruit desert pizzas.

Me too, but that chick is nut's, lol! Pineapple is full vitamin C, helps to burn fat and maybe I'm too literal....yes, that's probably the case :-)

I had a home-made, thick crust, ham/pepperoni/cheese pizza with (pickled pineapple wedges) on it.

Slightly sour on the outside, and sweet inside pineapple wedges.

It was really good...smile

Its fine. Usually the one with pineapple comes with ham as I recall and they go well together. Now anchovies... yums.

The DP is actually my favourite.

I find absolutely nothing wrong with pineapples on pizza and enjoy the taste plenty enough to eat it.

However, considering that I probably eat pizza once or twice per year and that there are about 10 other flavors that I prefer over this one, it's something that I hardly ever eat more often than once every 10 years or so.
