As an executive at Coca-Cola once told me:
When you're drinking Pepsi, you're drinking soda water.
When you're drinking Coke, you're drinking holy water. ;)

AMEN!!!
Isn't that like having to choose between sugary crap and sugary crap . Now if the choice is between coffee and tea, there's a clear distinction :O)
In the world's harsh wear and tear many a very sincere attachment is slowly obliterated.

It doesn't really matter to me either way, to be honest. But I do like the taste of diet soda better. Don't be haters. :P

Haha, true!
I wonder how many of you could actually tell the difference if you were blindly offered a sample of each...

Pepsi is sweeter and Coke has more bubbles. Everyone knows that.

There's a rather big amusement park in my city. When I was a teen, Pepsi opened a stand there and challenged people to spot the difference between Pepsi and Coke (offering a full bottle of Pepsi to anyone who'd get the right answer). Most people couldn't tell the difference and the success rate was pretty damn close to a mere 50/50 (ie. a wild guess).

So yeah, I feel like this question indirectly asks people which between the two has (or had) the most successful marketing campaign(s).

What tastebudless city was this?
Coke .... as in "I would like a rum and coke"....

A city that curiously appears on both of these lists: 20 Best Food Cities / The World's 18 Best Food Cities

And science is actually on my side on this one. When asked to identify cola beverages out of 3 samples, participants had a success rate of less than 50%. They couldn't even tell when the exact same cola was offered to them in all 3 samples:

Coke for me

Must be the tourists keeping the restaurants open in whatever city it is then.

Yeah, yeah... you likely can't even spot the difference between coke and baby powder, butthead.
i'm a carolina girl, but show absolutely NO loyalty to pepsi. coca cola all day, every day.

EDIT: i agree with jack. pepsi always tasted flat to me and i later found out on a food network program why. it's made sweeter and uses less carbonation than coke. coke is extremely fizzy and has a tart taste.

Say. Her. Name.

The correct answer is, of course, PEPSI! Pepsi tastes flat in cans, Coke is more acidic in all containers and form the fountain. Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback use real sugar. The Coke vs Coke Classic debacle just proved how bad Coke is, not only tasting, but for you as well.
definitely coke ....
When I drank the stuff I was all about Coca-Cola.
