On a personal note, I never thought that word games would be my first love on a sex site. Let's give a big hand for a great job!

If you love to play with words, you can't run away.
It's part of who you are.

Thanks for the post LM.

I know it was intended for the forums, but I think the same attitude should be applied to the chat rooms. I always try to say hello and welcoming to newcomers.

If a new person posts in one of the Word Games threads with something very sexual, it's really ok. In the "Would you fuck... the person above you" type thread, a new guy may post, "Yea, I'd fuck the shit out of that pussy." So what, he's new. He may not know the proper decorum that's expected.

Wow...someone took their "happy pills" this year...very impressive there L-M...

Btw...what is the "proper decorum" in a "Would you fuck the brains out of the person above you?" thread? I've been here like over two years or something like it, and I still have no clue...

You know you want it, you know you need it bad...get it now on Amazon.com...

I have to agree. I have been here just over a year now and have started to "GET" the forums. I do think though the same sentiment needs to be extended to the chat rooms as well. I have ventured there twice and never got spoken to.

YOU SAP!

kidding, kidding, kidding! when am i NOT kidding?!

I kinda agree, but then I kinda don't see it. It's a little thing I kinda like to call effort. I know when I joined I didn't pull my dick out immediately and sling it all around for people to see (and admire ). I mean that figuratively... as in, I didn't start throwing up random Forum Threads that have been done over & over & over again. I didn't bust into the ChatRooms and declare myself the greatest lover via cyber in the world. I put just the TINIEST bit of effort into "settling in" here and RESPECTING the tempo, pace, and general fun of it all and actually READ THROUGH some of the Forums to begin with.

I was actually surprised to see one thread that a newbie had started for the sole purpose of "introducing" herself, and that for the most part - people were welcoming. Me? I ignored it completely, because all I wanted to do is make fun of her for being so attention needy.

...I THINK it was a girl, anyway..?..

Point is... your point is WELL TAKEN and certainly well made, good sir. I have no idea what the "good ol' days" were, and really don't care. I think the current days are damn fun as it is! I'd rather people have just a little thicker skin (hell, there's enough of it showing all around here!), a little more humor about themselves, and generally stop taking things so damn seriously anyway!

I'm new here but the people all seem ok.
To be honest, I can give as good as I get so i'm not too bothered but others of a more sensitive nature may become disheartened and stay away from the forums if they feel victimised which is a shame as a forum full of the regulars could become very dull and boring indeed.

I dunno...I always think people should know how to act, im still a newb myself kinda, only been here a few months, but i still knew how to act and talk to people, its kind of obvious to honest. Its not exactly a secret that we are all here for one reason, because we're all horny buggers, but that doesnt mean we shouldnt show respect, or that somebody is gonna do whatever you say, just because they are horny. im sure at least most of us are completely normal people outside lush, so it just seems obvious to me that you should show tact and be poilte when meeting people on forum, particularly if you new.

Its like that guy who posted a topic about webcamming, not a shred of tact or decorum, i was reading the topic just thinking..CRINGE

Being newbie myself it is good to give them a break now and again, and to steer them in the correct direction.
However, if advice is not taken on board and they keep repeating the faux pas then

BUT Everyone should have manners and common sense, "newbies" and the "regulars"!

You'll get used to us. We're mostly just cutting up. We love a lot of facetious humor and you'll figure that out. Just assume that's usually what it is.

but what if you don't have a sense of humor? *sighs* i asked for one from Santa and once again, i got nothing!

You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

I definitely felt a little bit daunted by the forums (and the people within them) when I first joined....I'm pretty sure that if I was someone who found it more difficult to communicate with people than I do I would have stayed out of it.

But I think there is a bit of a 'well, you asked for it' going on in some people's case with regards to the almost daily pubic hair, cock length, yada yada posts we get - perhaps a sticky at the top of each forum outlining how to search for keywords, what sort of topics everyone is a bit bored of would help? But no doubt that'd ruin some people's fun

LOL... I seriously think we should make a 'pubic-hair' and 'cock size' thread sticky at the top of the Ask the Girls forum. That's a great idea!

Little Bambi, I think it might be very entertaining for you to start a Forum subject called pubic hair, cock length, yada yada.

The yada yada posts are the best ones.

That said.... a lot of what some newbies (and some not-so-newbies) post reads as 'yada yada' to me

I have been on the site just over four months now and read the forums a lot before I launched in, it's just a question of getting the feel (did I really mean that?) of how different people react?

Everyone (so far) has been really nice, long may it continue.

I'm still realtively new here, even though I've probably shot my mouth off in threads and chats.

But I do agree that I have found this place a little more active and fun than the last site I used to hang out at!

But I did notice that besides the friends who introduced me to lush, it took a little effort on my part to make connections and get "accepted".

I think it is important for all of us to acknowledge and welcome someone new on the forums and especially the chats! There are some cliques but if we are more accepting and greeting newer people, I would not doubt we would see more interaction throughout the day!

Kisses!

One of the things that make the Lush forums so welcoming is that one can feel free to be totally honest about themselves. The members here have always been supportive and helpful no matter what a persons interests are.

And then their are the girly pics!

I am new and started a thread that crossed a line I knew it may be crossing but thought it also might be okay. Within hours a veteran posted telling me very politely that I may be breaking the rules and the forum was removed. I greatly appreciated this and the way the veteran politely handled the situation. Even though I was being corrected for being in the wrong it felt good.

Thank You Dudealicious!
