Thanks for the post LM.
I know it was intended for the forums, but I think the same attitude should be applied to the chat rooms. I always try to say hello and welcoming to newcomers.
As I've seen on a neighbors bumper sticker:
"Mean People Suck"
I have to agree. I have been here just over a year now and have started to "GET" the forums. I do think though the same sentiment needs to be extended to the chat rooms as well. I have ventured there twice and never got spoken to.
hahahaha! love how this thread evolved into ..... hahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm a newbie and it's really nice to be welcomed like this...thanks for thinking about this...
Sometimes, a bitch is just a girl who wears a mask to hide what's real inside her
I'm new here but the people all seem ok.
To be honest, I can give as good as I get so i'm not too bothered but others of a more sensitive nature may become disheartened and stay away from the forums if they feel victimised which is a shame as a forum full of the regulars could become very dull and boring indeed.
I dunno...I always think people should know how to act, im still a newb myself kinda, only been here a few months, but i still knew how to act and talk to people, its kind of obvious to honest. Its not exactly a secret that we are all here for one reason, because we're all horny buggers, but that doesnt mean we shouldnt show respect, or that somebody is gonna do whatever you say, just because they are horny. im sure at least most of us are completely normal people outside lush, so it just seems obvious to me that you should show tact and be poilte when meeting people on forum, particularly if you new.
Its like that guy who posted a topic about webcamming, not a shred of tact or decorum, i was reading the topic just thinking..CRINGE
I definitely felt a little bit daunted by the forums (and the people within them) when I first joined....I'm pretty sure that if I was someone who found it more difficult to communicate with people than I do I would have stayed out of it.
But I think there is a bit of a 'well, you asked for it' going on in some people's case with regards to the almost daily pubic hair, cock length, yada yada posts we get - perhaps a sticky at the top of each forum outlining how to search for keywords, what sort of topics everyone is a bit bored of would help? But no doubt that'd ruin some people's fun
I'm still realtively new here, even though I've probably shot my mouth off in threads and chats.
But I do agree that I have found this place a little more active and fun than the last site I used to hang out at!
But I did notice that besides the friends who introduced me to lush, it took a little effort on my part to make connections and get "accepted".
I think it is important for all of us to acknowledge and welcome someone new on the forums and especially the chats! There are some cliques but if we are more accepting and greeting newer people, I would not doubt we would see more interaction throughout the day!
Kisses!
Steph
We have some really hilarious people here on Lush, so newbies just get to know everyone and enjoy the funny posts!
I am new and started a thread that crossed a line I knew it may be crossing but thought it also might be okay. Within hours a veteran posted telling me very politely that I may be breaking the rules and the forum was removed. I greatly appreciated this and the way the veteran politely handled the situation. Even though I was being corrected for being in the wrong it felt good.
Thank You Dudealicious!
Fuck being nice... Fuck the newbies... Fuck the over-sensitive... Fuck all of that shit. They'll get used to it, everyone else did.
