Okay, I need some creative ideas of things to do while being stuck in bed for the next 4 and a bit months. I don't want to get bored or make my turn to mush. i spent all day trying to name all the countries in the world in 15 minutes keeping getting close but no cigar...

Yes i am that bored and it is day 1
I must have missed this, what are you doing in bed for 4 and a bit months? Did you break something?

If you like, you can go through all the stories submitted prior to early 2008, and flag any that break our site's terms and conditions. That should keep you busy I've checked almost every story on here, but I'm sure there are some that slipped through the net.

Or get the top 50 best sellers list, fiction / non-fiction etc, and read everything, regardless of genre.

Hmm.. Albania, Afghanistan, Algeria, Austria, Australia, Argentina....
Four months in bed? I think I'd go quietly insane!

Do you like reading, or can you play computer games where you are?

And writing. You'd be able to get a whole lot of stories done in that time!
If you want to know all the countries of the world, and to a catchy tune no less, then dig up the Animaniacs song Yakko's World, where he names then all, in tune, and in less than 5 minutes, even cooler the voice actor nailed it in one take on the DVD extras ELEVEN YEARS LATER....

ooh that could keep me busy. No I am pregnant and started having seizures a couple nights ago slong with chest pains/stomach pains. So I am now going to be in bed for the next eon. I am trying to limit my time on the computer though, but at the moment don't have any good books - but have just ordered some!
Good lord! Sounds like everyone is pregnant! Must be in the water, which I am NOT drinking! LOL
♥ Listen, touch, and look around in the air and on the ground. If you watch all nature's things, you might just see a fairy's wings. ♥

Congrats, rx. I hope the remaining few months of your pregnancy go as smoothly as possible.

Maybe write a diary while you're stuck in bed, then you can show your child what they put you through once they grow up!

Thankyou. I am giving the baby up for adoption. But I am now a sporcle addict - It is truly the most awesome site I have ever come accross. No I take that back, the second most awesomest. This one being the first.

My apologies. I didn't realise.

And I haven't heard of sporcle before. I'll have to check it out. My current addiction's a game called "Bejewelled" on facebook. I can't seem to stop once I get started on it.
Oh dear, poor you. I see that you've had plenty of other bits of advice and links to web site.

You could try learning the alphabet backwards. Then learn what each letter of the alphabet is in terms of its numerical order, as in A = 1, B = 2, and so on. Once you know those, rewrite your favourite book or story as numbers rather than letters. Sure it's incoherent, who cares? You might even fall asleep. Yes, these are tricks from someone who suffers from insomnia.

Make a list of vocabulary words like this. All the words beginning with A, which can be followed by each consecutive letter of the alphabet. For example, A -- aardvark, abacus, accept, adequate, aeroplane, affect, aggravate... and so on for A. Then do the same thing for each letter of the alphabet, and also make a list or chart of which letters cannot form words with certain letters.

Play Animal, Vegetable, Mineral with the alphabet. So, A, alligator, aubergine, amethyst.

Yes I know, pretty pathetic, like I said, this are things an insomniac invents, and no, they do not always work.

Good luck, I really hope that you and the baby stay healthy.

I have probably spent at least 3 hours on it in the last 24. It is definitely keeping me entertained .

Today, I was at a bar with my friends for my 19th birthday when I saw my dad grinding some chick that was not my mom. I confronted him and told him I was telling mom. He then pointed across the bar to my mom with another man. I just found out my parents are swingers. FML

That reminds me of the time I found out my step grandad was a swinger
I just hope you feel better soon, Rx. We miss you in the room.

thankyou mr rocco tocco. I miss being there...
Today, I was picking my daughter up at day care. She was outside playing kick ball. A red ball strangely rolls over to me, and trying to impress the kids, I kicked it over the slide. I turn around to see three crying six year olds. It was their hamster ball. FML

LMAO!
Today, I was sitting at the computer when this really annoying fly kept landing on the keyboard. After a while, I took the bottom of a pen and squished it. Twenty minutes later I absentmindedly started chewing at the bottom of the pen. FML

Hiya rxtales, Didn't realise you where going through a rough patch hope you stay well and the baby take care.

You start wrting a blog to type into everyday then turn it into a novel in which to sell and make money from.
You could check out some Open University courses. Some of them are only 6 weeks long and usually those short ones are for free.

Really hope you stay chilled out and busy Take care XXXXXX
