This post is the best one yet.

Except for the fact that you are awake Gill. I'm sorry you are being tortured by sleeplessness again.

Thank you for the kind concern. I am just afraid it's a part of my life and always will be. Sigh.....

Two really good workouts two days in a row... amazing, blissful, unbroken sleep.
No workout, no sleep. Coincidence? I think not! sad

5.38am. It's been a while since I didn't sleep at all but the precious little now is so not worth the groggy wake up.
I think I've had two forty minute naps throughout the course of the night.

Setting my alarm for school run super loud just in case I actually drift...

On serious notes, I use two different methods if I am having a problem getting to sleep.

1) I masturbate.....always makes me feel good and always makes me feel very relaxed afterward so that I fall asleep quite easily.
2) On the weekends, I quote often turn on background sounds to help me sleep longer. I am normally up quite early in the morning, but occasionally on the weekend I like to sleep in. I enjoy the sound of thunderstorms, gentle rain, or the sound of water lapping against a boat. I have all of these sounds on a sound machine, next to my bed and I find them to be very effective.
Sex is about the only thing that relaxes me enough to fall asleep. Consequently, I get plenty of sleep now. Throughout my childhood, though, I was plagued with insomnia.
Why is it that I am so tired that I keep falling asleep while trying to read or watching tv, but as soon as I shut the lights out I'm wide awake?

Go to a chat room, read all of the 'hi, how are you' 'I'm fine how are you' 'Good thanks, how's it going' 'Pretty good, how are things with you?' greetings ....... it's the best cure for insomnia, works every time for me.

Agreed.. which is why I usually don't bother... a good solid orgasm usually does the trick... like hitting the pressure release valve.

Often me, so I think the nights I can't sleep are like karma for treating myself so poorly.

Yesterday I was awake for 42hours straight. Was in bed at 830pm took 5hours to get to sleep even after having been up all damn day night and day.
Melatonin and red wine, 20-30 minutes before bedtime.

I may never even try to sleep again, lol.

Hi Linda

Melatonin helps me fall asleep but I always wake up about an hour later. Red wine gives me a migraine so maybe some white wine. I'll try anything.

a good blow job does help!
I hate my insomnia. It has troubled me ever since I was little.

Doesn't affect me every night but sometimes I stay up for days. Just reading and smoking 'till I drive myself insane and start wandering around my house like a mad dog..
The devil's going to make me a free woman. The devil's going to set me free. Dead bodies everywhere...

Fight Club sums it up perfectly
The devil's going to make me a free woman. The devil's going to set me free. Dead bodies everywhere...
