French is just awful...

I think it's beautiful. It flows off the tongue like a half-sucked gummy bear.

I know just about enough German to score a few free beers from a friendly Bavarian, and to seriously offend an angry-looking barman and his girlfriend.

Other than that, just English. Always wanted to learn Ghàidhlig.

Well, I speak 2 languages. Inuktitut/Eskimo and English. Even though I am part German, I do not know how to speak or understand it. Lol.

Three fluently, two just enough to communicate.
A little kindness can be so valuable, yet costs almost nothing

In many countries being gay is a crime, and even in modern societies, politicians try to legalise discrimination. Your voice can make a difference. Have a look at All Out to find out how.

Hey... pssst.... that's an l (as in luscious) at the end of my name, not an i

I'm currently learning English as my first language.
I'd say I'm at the beginner level thus far biggrin

Dutch: native
English: good
German: able to understand much of it and speak some, many times using some germanized Dutch words, which often works, but can also make you say foolish things ;)

From many other Western European languages I know some words. Combining these with some English, German and hands and feet get me a long way (except in France).

Well... I kinda speak English. Poorly as can be verified by most of the mods on Lush. However, I love the variations of English spoken around the world. Southern Amerian English, ebonics, pigeon English, and my favorite Austrailian English, fascinate me. It was amazing that I got all the way to a masters without taking a foreign language. I should learn Spanish as half of California does.

Two well: English and Spanish. I can order meals in French and Italian. I can ask where the bathroom is in German. I can say "I do not speak ________" in Portuguese, Russian, and Chinese (I think).

English, German and Russian fluently. French, Portuguese, Greek well enough to speak on trips there. Some languages I can read only, or can speak minimally.
