One of the reasons I joined this site was because one day I was thinking about the past and remember how I used to like Forum magazine. In this modern computer age I wondered if anywhere or anything had the same content, and to some extent that's exactly what lushstories is. I remember as a teenager my friends all buying such magazines as Mayfair and Men only, but I actually preferred Forum, because it was far more interesting to read about sex, then it was just a look at pictures of naked women.

I particularly remember one article changing my life. Like most teenagers in the 70s we'd been brought up to believe there was just three sexual types, straight, gay and bi. The article went on to explain that everybody exists in just one scale, sexuality. Where you are on that scale is defined as your own sexuality, you may not have any interest in your own gender but you may be comfortable to be naked around them. You might find that you are slightly interested sexually in your own, or even both men and women interest you, maybe you're more interested in your own gender then on the opposite sex. It's all one grayscale not set pigeon holes.

This was liberating for me as although I now was sure I was straight I also realised that the description I've been brought up with was far too restrictive and narrow-minded. It taught me to accept everyone for who they are.

The magazine also opened my eyes and helped on my journey to becoming a swinger.

So tell me did you use to read Forum magazine? Do you miss it like I do? And what memories of the magazine do you have?

LOL... If I was an ex employee or owner of Forum I'd be very dissapointed. Appears no one misses it, or is it no one remembers it? No worries folks, but if you read the above, trust me; Forum was a paper version of Lush in many ways.

Seems like it was before my time, but to be honest, Lush is the only website that I've used that doesn't fall into my latex/BDSM/Noise scene.

You never know, someone might remember.

No worries Impurethoughts. I'm aware of the days having passed, and I belive it last published in the 90s. To be honest I think it was a low seller even then. Men tend to be turned in by images over ideas, guess im unusual in that interest.

There was just something so pure about reading adult content in paper form.

I think this was especially true - and liberating - for queer based writing. It was really there, in black and white.

Easily amused

Oh yeah, Forum magazine was my gateway to written porn! I have quite a few memories of discovering, and occasionally being surprised at, what I found hot. A letter about a college dorm with several girls living together comes to mind.

Tintinnabulation - first place (Free Spirit)
Comet Q - second place (Quick and Risqué Sex)
Amnesia - third place (Le Noir Erotique)

Headbanging ape from cold North 🤘

Forum was my go-to smut for a time. Like Ensorceled, it was probably one of my earliest intros to dirty stories and I think inspired my first attempts at writing about sex back in university.

A poem for your enjoyment. Little something that came to me a couple days ago

Yes you were quite right there, but the first no one seemed to either reply or remember.

Wait, Penthouses Forum Magazine or just Forum Magazine? Cause I've Googled.

I have a feeling there may be one of the same just that the penthouse bought it out. But this...

I remember getting the magazine and could not wait to read the stories. I jerked off many times while reading.
