One of the reasons I joined this site was because one day I was thinking about the past and remember how I used to like Forum magazine. In this modern computer age I wondered if anywhere or anything had the same content, and to some extent that's exactly what lushstories is. I remember as a teenager my friends all buying such magazines as Mayfair and Men only, but I actually preferred Forum, because it was far more interesting to read about sex, then it was just a look at pictures of naked women.
I particularly remember one article changing my life. Like most teenagers in the 70s we'd been brought up to believe there was just three sexual types, straight, gay and bi. The article went on to explain that everybody exists in just one scale, sexuality. Where you are on that scale is defined as your own sexuality, you may not have any interest in your own gender but you may be comfortable to be naked around them. You might find that you are slightly interested sexually in your own, or even both men and women interest you, maybe you're more interested in your own gender then on the opposite sex. It's all one grayscale not set pigeon holes.
This was liberating for me as although I now was sure I was straight I also realised that the description I've been brought up with was far too restrictive and narrow-minded. It taught me to accept everyone for who they are.
The magazine also opened my eyes and helped on my journey to becoming a swinger.
So tell me did you use to read Forum magazine? Do you miss it like I do? And what memories of the magazine do you have?
