Well, what do ya' know? I logged on for some libidinous thrills, and discovered my second most favorite "thrill", coffee! People here, in "Da' Big Easy" used to take their coffee drinkin' very seriously, but the homogenization of cultures, and what used to be a ritualistic pleasure, here, has changed most of that. We "natives" are still split into two distinct groups, the "Community" drinkers, and the "CDM" zealots, the latter of which, I'm a fiercely proud, lifelong member. "We" prefer our coffee dark roasted, and laced liberally with chicory, exclusively! Add to it some "whole" milk, a bit of dark brown sugar, and if the spoon stands up in it, it's probably jusssst right. Think; 30 weight oil. Ummm-um!

As far as Starbuck's and their ilk are concerned, ...... their coffees may be "hip", "chic", and "tasty", but Starbuck's have proven to be "corporate weasels", and the coffee with chicory that they serve, on occasion, has proven to be a weak imitation of the "real thing".

Also, since it's the "dead of Winter", a healthy shot of Bailey's mixed in, is almost mandatory on the ridiculously cold nights we've had here, recently. That's it. I need another cup, now.

I did not realize ,, that there is So many different brands.
I'm not a big coffee drinker, so I don't really care what the brand is. But when I do have coffee I like adding different flavors to it, like coconut.
Im more of a tea drinker myself but i do like a coffee every now and then.

Im not big on having it strong so i like Starbuck's coffee, i like the vanilla latte and at christmas i like the toffee nut latte with whipped cream
If i drink coffee at home i always have Douwe Egburts pure gold, no water, just nuke my milk (microwave) and stir in my coffee and 1/2 a spoon of suger. Done.

There are some real coffee connoisseurs that treat coffee the same way some would treat wines. They look at the brand, where the bean was grown, how it was roasted, the grind, the kind of water used...
Any freshly ground, strong, with 2 extra shots, black, 1 sweetner, (if i got to buy ready made) Costa, Starbucks(ok)
I use Nespresso at home but i'v got to cut back and go back on ground, i can only get Nespresso online and if my partner knew what i spent last year on coffee she'd kill me. For work i buy fresh roast beans and grind them for a stove top perculator, usually the strongert they got.

At home it has to be Lavazza, but when I am out I like Starbuck's flavoured latte's, can't help it but I just like it, plus the whole atmosphere
I always start with Folger's. Sometimes I have just Folger's, but I usually use it as a base. Depending on what mood I'm in, I'll mix in some Dunkin Donuts French Vanilla, or some Jamaican Jablum Blue Mountain coffee. Lately I've been a big fan of Hawaiian Kona coffee - mixed in with Folger's in anywhere from equal parts, to two-to-one. I've used other coffees to shake up things, but those are what I happen to have on hand most often.
