Rachel McAdams grew up not far from where I live (she's from St. Thomas, Ontario; I live in London which is about half an hour north of St. Thomas). St. Thomas is not exactly a liberal, progressive sort of community. It's not the most conservative part of Ontario, but it's certainly not a liberal hotbed, either. So I wonder what her hometown is going to make of this one. They certainly have been proud of her past achievements (as has Original Kids Theatre here in London where she started acting) but one wonders if this is going to rub up against other sensibilities.
