My mom a few years ago found a lump in breast , though it was non cancerous though it scared the shit outta her, also a friend of mine lost her mom recently to breast cancer , so this post is to all of you who have lost someone dear to you to cancer please if you can share your thoughts. thanks
Cancer of all kinds is scary. I lived through cancer since I was about 9 with my mom. That was when it came back, and I was at the point where I kind of understood what was going on with her. Cancer is scary. No matter what kind it is. I support finding a cure for all cancers. No one should kjnow what it is like to have to fight this battle, and even more, no family, no person, no child, no wife, no husband, no anyone, should have to go through the pain of losing someone they Love from cancer. I am glad your mom was okay honey, she did get extremely lucky. Make sure she keeps up with her appointments.
I have a few friends that have gone through cancer o f different forms. I am planning to do a bike ride for it maybe not this year but definitely going to be next year
It is a grim and merciless reaper of men and women. I fear its fiendish grip may God spare me and all who suffer.

As a suvivor of breast cancer, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Until you experience it or witness it in a family you dont understand the impact it has on every area of your life. The only choice a survivor has is to fight like hell or give up. Attitude is half the battle. I chose to fight like hell and I am still. I chose to laugh at everything I could. Find something funny in all aspects of my treatment plan. It helped me tremendously. My family saw a woman who was not afraid when on the inside I was scare to death. Every thing is a milstone in cancer. Lets not forget our cancer suvivors of all kinds. Celebrate life with them even when they are still fighting. It will be appreciated I know. If you have a day that is open and nothing important to do, sit with them through tratment. You dont have to say a word just knowing someone cared enough to be by your side is a warm loving feeling. It makes you fight harder. Be there for them when treatments end. That is the time they will be the lonliest. No appointments, treatment, they will feel tossed aside. I participate in several walks for various cancers becuase I dont want to see anymore people die. I walk for everyone who cant and remember those I have lost. It feels fantastic to cross that finish line. For all survivors, life life to the fullest everyday. You only get one sgot at life, take aim, fire and enjoy.

I am glad that your survivor. I agree attitude and the will to live is more than half the battle. You have to have it set in your head that you are not going to let the cancer win. My mom had that state of mind, and attitude for years and years. Since I was 9 years old, she battled with Breast cancer. I grew up around the doctors appointments and everything. Doing the walks, and wearing the pink ribbons, and bracklets, and shirts, is all in her Memory. As hard as it is, I will be doing the walk, in memory of her.

Congrats on your survival.

My Father-in-law passed away in 2007 of pancreatic cancer... It was so hard to see him go thro the pain. I stayed at home during the to help with him as much as possible, and when he passed it was like the life of my husbands family was gone. He was a great man, and I am so thankful for the few years I was able to get to know him. I just wish things had been different.
