Beach in south Florida, so far off, I was technically not in the United States anymore, when I stood in the water.

Whitehaven beach in the whitsundays... Best beach by far.. Soft white sand, beautiful bushland and not city hustle n bustle.... Oh and the water is crystal clear most of the year round

I have seen the ocean once in my life. A beautiful beach by Morrow Bay CA, I was so touched and humbled by the ocean that I sat on the dunes with tears rolling down my cheeks and I watched the sun set. I don't think I will ever forget that moment.

Sometimes it's not so much the beach, as the situation around you. I remember one night we were sitting on a beach in Colombia late in the night. The drum beats of a strolling band were wafting up from somewhere off to the left. I was sitting with my lover, our shoes off and our toes curling in the cool sand. Lightning began to dance along the horizon, providing a wondrous backdrop to the rolling waves crashing at our feet. It began to rain, just a light drizzle, just enough so that your skin tingled and felt energized. Just at that moment, my lover leaned in to me and gave me the most tender kiss. That, was the most beautiful beach. If I could trap that moment in a bottle.... smile

I have been to many beautiful beaches in the US and the Caribbean, but if you are talking about just the beach and water and not night life or other amenities than nothing beats Turks and Caicos.

Manly and Bondi have the big reputations, but they're honestly not all that, just good for surf. The most beautiful one I've been to was probably Cronulla Beach, it's more of an inlet, so the sea is calm and tranquil. There was also an awesome one in Queensland, I think it was called Bramston.

I can't think of any nice beaches in England though, it's not a beach country because the for at least 6 months of the year the weather is shite. Hurry up global warming...

As a Yorkshireman it has to be Bridlington.
Blackpool is good but its a fair walk for a paddle when the tide is out.
Leysdown beach on the Isle of Sheppey is a great beach for finding shells and the gradient is so shallow you can be a quarter mile out and the water only reaches your waist.

I love the beaches at Key West.
Most romantic time at a beach would be St. Thomas, US Virgins Islands.
Unfortunately, I've never had the chance to surf the West Coast, so the best surfing I've had was at the Outer Banks, North Carolina.
Also, once at Tybee Island, Georgia when a hurricane was in south Florida. The waves were unusually awesome until the Beach Patrol made us leave.
The most undisturbed and natural beach I've been to is Cumberland Island, Georgia (only 300 visitors per day are allowed on the island, which is accessible only by ferry or canoe/cayak.) Its great to see the wild horses run and play in the surf. You can also see lots of wild albino deer there too.
I love the clean white sand and near swimming pool clear water at the beaches on the Gulf of Mexico side of Florida.
One of the most interesting beaches I've seen was at Venice Beach, California (I was on a business trip and didn't have the opportunity to try surfing there.)
I've also enjoyed the beaches of The Bahamas.
The best eye candy at a beach I've been at was in Miami, Florida.
I've been naked on Miami's Haulover Beach before.

Any beach you can find on the east or west coast of Australia is perfect. Clean sand and wonderful clear water.
There are some great nudist beaches here as well and they all meet the above criteria but are a little harder to find.
An all over tan is guaranteed.

I haven't been to that many, to be honest. Ohio girls don't have many beaches close by. I loved Carmel By the Sea though, and the Big Sur area. Pensacola is nice. I'd love to see Zipolite in Oaxaca.
