It wouldn't matter to me, at all. However, the sad truth is, if I brought home a guy of another race, or a girl of any race, my parents might be okay with it, but my extended family (grandparents, aunts/uncles, cousins) would probably disown me and no I'm not exaggerating.

there are three reasons why my family doesn't know i'm with Mara. 1) they don't know i'm bi. 2) they don't agree with meeting people online (even though my mother met my step father on a dating site) 3) mom doesn't agree with mixed couples at all.

I'm a caucasian man living in Southeast Asia, so local selection pretty much dictates that I date outside my race, just as the whiter-than-white selection in my high school (more or less) dictated that I dated within my race as a teenager.

Besides one's own preferences, I think dating outside one's race has certain advantages- it can be an window into a different way of seeing the world, among other things.

Of course it also often means certain difficulties as discussed above. I occasionally see a married woman, and unhappy as she is, she certainly has no reasonable option to leave her husband, much less to be with a caucasian man. In fact, there are many, many ethnic Chinese that won't even consider dating a 'white' man; some are just culturally engrained to date only within their races, as well as within their social class. Others would do it, but family pressure, and the consequences of doing so, are too great for them to do it any way other than sometimes in secret (such as the woman I mentioned).

In a world full of such intolerance and hatred based on religious, ethnic and political issues let us all love each other and try to see the good that is in all people.

As crass as it sounds, the old saw: "It's all pink on the inside" is true.

Of course I say that from Kansas City, Missouri - Bible Belt, where I don't give a rat's ass about how people perceive my personal life choices.

If I lived in Malaysia, Somalia, Serbia or Kurdistan, it would most likely be a horse of a different color.
The same GQP demanding we move on from January 6th, 2021 is still doing audits of the November 3rd, 2020 election.

Not only have I dated interracially, I tend to prefer it. My family doesn't flip out, but I know it makes them nervous.

I like the way the melting pot tastes!

I have dated outside my race, and found that men, and women, don't change just becuse they are a different race. The color of a persomes skin is just that, the color of thier skin nothing else. My family says they don't care, however my Dad doesn't want me to date a black guy. I don't think he sounds rather like a hipocrit though, he's merried to a mexican woman.

Would you date a person from another race? I'm not talking Star Trek, either.

Dated an asian guy in school, Mom cringed and Dad spluttered. Dated a hispanic guy at work, Mom freaked and Dad nearly had a stroke. I can only imagine if I'd brought a black guy home. Personally don't care what color a man is, it's his actions, words and thoughts that make him who he is, not his color. I almost got back together with the hispanic guy simply because my folks kept telling me I was better off without him, that he would treat me badly because it was his culture etc. I dumped him because he was a workaholic that was balancing 40 hours a week AND pursuing his degree! That was my only complaint with him!

Oh, I dunno, there's a couple of awfully handsome Vulcan men out there, and one particular Klingon that could have me any way he wanted to! That's the beauty of the Trek universe...:-)

Anyway, if you really think about it, we are so mixed anyway, I don't think many people can say they are 'pure black' or 'pure caucasian' I mean in New Zealand there aren't any pure Maori's left, they all have European blood in them now.

I think the only pure bloodlines now left are deep within the heart of Asia and Africa...

I have dated interacially and would do it again. Never had any off colored remarks made by family members while involved with others of different races.(caucasions or latinas) Being ex military, I found that there were many that couldn't wait to experience relations with others of different races being away from the watchful eyes of parents with closed minds and such rigid beliefs. Such a shame this is still an issue in the 21th century.

I think for our parents a lot of times it's not necessarily about them having a problem with us dating inter-racially, but more of a concern that other people won't be tolerant and that it will cause us problems. My dad especially is afraid of something bad happening if I have an interracial relationship because of the stereotyping and racism that still permeates much of our society. For him it's not about the person I'm dating but the way society would react to it.
Right there. Oh yeah baby. Right there.

Come, Come, Whoever you are
Our is not a caravan of despair
Religious, race, country.
Even if you promised a hundred times
And a hundred times you broke your promise,
This door is not the door
Of hopelessness and frustration.
This door is open for everybody.
Come, come as you are

Come...Your race is not important....(hahaa)

For my Dad it's just that he wants me to live my life the way he wants, not the way I want. When i was engaged he was upset because I couldn't date a guy he wanted me to, a friend of my step-mothers. *shudder* Just the thought of that gy was scary though, and not because of his race, it was because he's a jerk.

No they don't you are referring to Pon Farr mating ritual..
Just by the way -Contrary to popular belief Vulcans, like humans, do mate outside of Pon Farr.

My parents always said they didn't care as long as he was Catholic, so I married a Jewish guy 18 years my senior. They got over it.

I would date any other race, in fact I'm actually more attracted to girls that aren't from the same race as me.

I am English. I am Irish. I am Cherokee. I would never never judge a woman by the color of her skin, hair or eyes. The question seems to have bcome muddled. There is a differance between race and culture. For me to date any girl, we have to be able to connect on some level.

My moms parents were from Mexico and my dad is a white. I tend toward white guys cause most of them are circumcised. Lol I may be shallow, but I prefer cut cock!
