We had Viet-Thai takeout for Chinese New Year last night so I imagine that will count as our Valentine's meal this year, too. They aren't usually this close together, though they do sometimes fall in the same week.

my wife and i are not particularly fond of VD plus we're snowed in right now, but I'll probably cook up something nice. i normally do on weekend nights anyways. smile

For "special" days I always try to cook a meal that will be pleasing to my wife. I do all the cooking. Have done for over thirty years. So I am well aware of her favorites. Big Hugs

Since I'm not a big meat eater but enjoy a good cut when I do eat it, this is a splurge. Ribeye steaks, baked sweet potatoes and asparagus. Homemade chocolate chip cheesecake for dessert.
