Disgusting like eating sweaty socks or yummy and tangy goodness? I love it melted on toast with a dash of Worcester (Wuster) sauce.

As an aside, the village of Stilton in Cambridgeshire still can't make the cheese and call it Stilton because it's a protected brand and only makers in Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire are allowed to market cheese as Stilton. Even though we've left the EU, protected brands like Cornish pasties and champagne are governed by the European Commission, to which we are still bound.

I have not had Stilton but that picture looks yummy. I like other blue cheeses and am a cheese fan in general (to the despair of my Chinese wife who hates the stuff).

Whenever I hear "Stilton" I think of the Geronimo Stilton novels for kids, which my son was a fan of for a time when he was little. It's about a mouse who has various sorts of adventures. I think there's even spinoffs based on other characters now.

Absolute blue cheese fan here. Gorgonzola, Danish Bleu, Roquefort, Stilton, etc

I don't know about the others, but according to Wikipedia champagne is actually protected by the Madrid System under an 1891 treaty. In 1989 a Protocol Relating to the Madrid Agreement was introduced, which came into effect in 1996. The UK became a member of the Madrid Union in 1995, while the EU only became a member in 2004.

Love blue cheese, Danish Blue and Cambazolla are nice with crackers or bread however for stilton I usually go traditional and break out the fruit loaf.

As an aside most crumbly cheeses go really well with rich fruit cake. Although many outside Northern England think this is shocking lol

Yes. I use it in my Mac & Cheese, along with Gorgonzola and Maytag Blue.

When I lived in London I went to the same pub almost every day for lunch. Frequently had a loaf of their homemade bread and a lump of Stilton. While in Paris for breakfast every morning had freshly baked croissants with a block of butter you could eat with a spoon. Nothing elsewhere ever compared.
