I agree with katie all 3 would do lovely
I love a good Cabernet Sauvignon or Merlot, Myself.
Personally, I prefer red wine. And i like it a little sweet. But i do like a number of red wines
Red wine, particularly cabernet savignon and merlot.
I like whites. I go for the fruity or sweeter whites. Not a fan of dry wine at all. And I like my drinks cold. If someone offered me a red with dinner at their place, Id politely drink it. But a light refreshing chilled white is right up my ally.
When I first started drinking wine, I would always order/buy white. The last few months, though, I have been drinking a lot of red wine. It really just depends on my mood and/or what I'm eating.
This thread would have lent itself to a poll.
Definitely Red. I normally go for a glass (ok bottle!) of Cabernet Sauvignon or Shiraz.
It really depends on the accompanying food though. A Pinot Blanc is delicious with fresh oysters, for example. I tend to drink more white wine and champagne in the summer months.
Add me to the red wine list. A nice Cab or Pinot Noir.
When the debate is lost, slander becomes the tool of the loser. Socrates I much prefer red to white. Some say the complexities and notes are better in white wine, but I care to differ.
Of course, my selection usually changes with what I am having for supper. I was on a "new world" kick for the longest time, but have come to appreciate the "old world" much more in the last few months.
Italian wines like Barolo, Ripasso Chianti and Amarone (Italy) have made it to the table quite often lately. While I do appreciate the Australian Shiraz's and Cabs.
California is great for Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Zinfandel (some regions much better than others).
In the summer a nice Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect pour, very refreshing and not too sweet,
Depends on the application of course. by itself? I prefer white. In general though I typically drink wine with food and then it's normally red.
depends on my meal, but mostly I prefer red wine.
White wine, although a friend of mine had gave me some good tasting red wine...
I just can't remember the name of it and it's the only one I've liked that I tried of Red Wine.
Type of food does make a difference, but if I'm just having a glass with friends it is Red. Beaujolais time is almost here.
I used to drink basically white wine but found a good red. The name of it is New Age.
Ooh, is the bar open? In that case, I'd like a red, please, something fruity and full-bodied like a Cabernet Sauvignon, or a Merlot. Or a peppery Shiraz. Depends on the food, but I'd usually pick a red over a white. If I pick a white it has to be bone-dry, although I do find Reislings quite palatable, too.
I have new favorite Cabernet Franc then Cabernet Sauvignon then Merlot maybe Pinot Noir
