You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.

Not at all, I'm proud to be an American. Folks get over it. Trump is our president. Nothing you can do about it. The people of the United States voted the man in. Now pray for him and hope he makes the US strong again. No use in the continuous slander about him, or his past or what ever, he is our President. That simple.

There is every reason to hold him accountable for what he does. There is "no getting over it". This is normal democracy at work.

Say's the Canadian...I don't think Simmie said he shouldn't be accountable for what he does. He should, just as any POTUS should. She's right, he's our President now, so instead of letting this divide our country, we should pull together and pray he know's what he's doing.

From what he has done so far, and what i expect him to do Monday morning, I doubt if prayers are going to help. And as a Canadian where trade deals directly affect myself and my family, I think I have a say. I don't want division but i think he is creating a bigger rift than ever before.

I certainly don't mean to come across as hostile. The two countries that I have lived and voted in (UK and Canada) have parliamentary systems that do not require us to accept our Prime Minister as anything more than an elected official.

I get the feeling Americans have a higher (more loyal??) view of their "Commander-in-Chief. I am still just trying to figure this all out.

I feel very very scared about the future. Giving someone with this track record a chance seems very risky. I hope it will be OK for you, as Americans, and us, the rest of the world, because we count too. xx

Thank you for saying that, but really, we can't just impeach him, so what's left? Believe me, our POTUS is an elected official, but we can't just 'un'elect him. All we can do now is give him a chance. If he fucks up bad enough (placing bets, I'd rather see Pence in the drivers seat...still don't like Hillary :-) ) then we can impeach him. Time will tell, but until then, pray sister, pray. I know the rest of the world is looking at us and wondering why we voted a clown into office. xx

Actually, we can in a way un-elect him. It's called a recall election. It's a huge undergoing but it can be done. An easy example is when California recalled Gray Davis in 2003. Now, we did get screwed with Arnold Schwarzenegger, but that's the risk you take with a recall, you might get someone worse.

i am proud to be an american too, and yes, he is our president, and there may be nothing we can do about that, but we CAN do something about his cabinet picks, his policies, and his programs.

btw, i find it rather amusing that we keep being told to get over it, when the man himself can't seem to get over even the smallest things. every time he gets butt hurt about something trivial, he feels the need to tweet about it - i hope he takes his office as President as seriously as he takes the jabs he gets from SNL and people like Meryl Streep.

the US it a power house. what we do here effects many other countries, and Canada has strong ties with the US. btw, is anyone aware that Canadians were recently turned away from our border? we've had a history of an open border for ages and suddenly they are not welcome to visit? all for fear that they planned to take part in the protest? that is not the country i live in. and girl, Trump himself is the one dividing our country. look at his cabinet picks, for god's sake. Devos as sec. of ed? Perry as sec. of energy? you are aware, i hope, that sec. of energy is in charge of our nuclear arms? guess what? HE didn't even know that when he took the job. Bannon?

for the record, he's already proving that he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing. when 2.9 million Americans gather in one day, not to mention the millions around the world also gathering, to make their voices heard, i think that's a clear sign that the division is already there.

and speaking about divisive, when was not the opinion of people from any and everywhere welcome on Lush? it's one fucking world, and we all have to live on it, and we'd better be willing to open our arms up to everyone and their opinions and ideas or we might as well just say 'fuck it'.

as a gay woman, you should be concerned about Pence's views on LGBTQ. look 'em up. here, save you the trouble.

he's in favor of gay conversion therapy
he's opposed to laws prohibiting gay discrimination in the workplace
he's was against repealing the don't ask don't tell act
he's against gay marriage.
he's against the directive for transgender bathrooms
he is on record as saying gay couples signified a socital collapse
he wants to defund HIV/AIDS funding
he wants to remove federal funding from Planned Parenthood

HE TRIED TO REDEFINE RAPE: Pence authored a law that tried to limit how and when federal funds for the practice could be used. Under federal law, the only exceptions for which abortion can be performed with federal funds is in case of or . So Pence attempted to change the definition of to include only what he described as "forcible ." That definition meant that federal dollars couldn't fund abortions in other instances of (for example, where a victim is drugged).

he signed The Religious Freedom Restoration Act into being in Indiana. the law made it possible for businesses within the state of Indiana to discriminate against members of the LGBTQ community based on their personal religious beliefs.

based, in part, on him making promises the he had no intention of keeping to the electorate.

My prediction is that Trump will have a hard time adjusting to the hard work and constraints of the presidency. He is already in ethical trouble with his sons supposedly taking over his businesses. There will be ethics and constitutional problems, possibly criminal transgressions. He will make Nixon look like a boy scout. Braggadocio does not make policy or make it happen. He will disappoint his voters and American allies. He will lie and obfuscate. He will be bored stiff. I think he will not last the four years. He will either be forced to resign for scandal and ethical issues, perhaps even criminal behaviour, or be impeached for the same.

Maybe "get over it" may not be the right way of putting it. What I am saying is, he is our president, there is nothing we can do about that. And I agree with you sprite, I hope he takes his job as president very serious and does what he promises. And I agree again, he needs to keep himself away from "tweet" not something our president should be doing . Not here to argue, just it seems there has been so much said and rioting and hatfullness since he was sworn in. It's just sad.

Didn't Trump promise for most of his campaign to release his tax returns?

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-kellyanne-conway-tax-returns-will-not-release-under-audit-conflicts-of-interest-a7540621.html

that wasn't a promise, it was an "alternate-promise".

That Kellyanne Conway is something else, isn't she?

You watch her interview with ABC News? She said she "didn't see the point" to the Women's March on Washington on Saturday.
