Thread locked for no apparent reason

People really like getting outraged about stuff nowadays, huh? It's a reasonable question, but no reason for people to get their panties in a bunch (or their bonnet "wasped", or whatever other nonsense).

(For the record, nothing is being covered up and no one is being denied freedom of speech. Y'all are still in here having a good old gripe about a thread that everyone can still see, right? If anyone was trying to shut you up, they'd have deleted that thread, and this one too.)

I will have to say that it is pretty funny that there have been so many responses in the thread, but none of them have addressed the reason the thread was locked. It seems to me the most efficient thing to do would have been to just spell out the reason why the thread was locked. Surely that isn't a matter of national security.

Definitely not surprised by that response. Rinse and repeat. If you spent 1/10th of the time just answering the question as you spend trying to figure out a clever way not to answer it....fuck it....never mind.

You referred to "paying members" somehow having a vested interest in knowing the "why" behind the decision to lock or delete a thread. Well, you seem pretty outraged, but I'll take your word for it.

And no one was ever denied the ability to express their opinion. However, you didn't. You posted four times in that thread and never once actually addressed the issue of Donald Trump's mental health. What you did do was have a general grump about how awful Donald Trump is, and you have about 5000 other threads in which to do that.

So when and where, exactly, were you stopped from expressing your opinion?

Believe it or not, I, as a story moderator, am not privy to the thought process behind every decision made by every mod who has thread-locking rights. Nor do I even have the means to find out who locked the thread.

So where would you suggest I even start? What do you think I could do that wasn't already being done?

I didn't start two different threads (one that has already been locked) whining about locked or deleted threads, you did. I'm rarely if ever bothered when a thread gets locked or deleted... often I'm surprised locked threads doesn't happen more often with the way they often get derailed. If the Mods felt they should be locked, then so be it... who are you to question this? You should know that thread locked is not done lightly here and there is a purpose to doing it.

You're allowed to disagree with these decisions, but whining about it does no good.

And feel free to have the last word on this one as well as that is truly your nature. Should you choose not to... that too is your choice.

I take back my adios for one more post. between several mods (and yes I know milik is no longer a mod, but his statement was supported by some), I have gotten condescension, threatened (whether it was disguised as humor or not, it was am implied threat in my perception, and perception is everything) and now am being called an asstard. i never called you an asstard. i simply said that only an asstard would assume he was threatening you. i had too much respect to actually believe for a moment that you truly thought you were being threatened and took it as a humorous statement meant to cool things down before they got heated up.
