Do you have random friends on your list that you never added?

If you take a peek, there's a chance that you might. There's a glitch that is being worked on. If you haven't heard yet, the mobile site is closing and a migration process is under way.

I have twice or maybe three times had emails supposedly from admin@ saying that someone has sent me a friend request but there is no formal friend request on my page. Is this a similar thing or (as Monty Python said) something completely different?

This sounds slightly different. It could be that the friend who requested you, deleted their account and would thus, no longer show. The phantom friends I speak of just appear on your friends list as if you've already accepted them, or they you.

Thank you, it is different.

The further strange aspect of it is that the email comes from admin@lush whereas normal notifications that I get are from no-reply@

I did click on the profile of the two (or three) people that had supposedly wanted me as a friend and they looked to be genuine accounts but because
the admin@ address had made he wonder what was going on I did not actually contact the members concerned.

As I said in my first post, something completely different.

edit-I have just checked back in my 'thrash' emails and the most recent email from admin@ with a supposed friend request is still there so I could forward it to yourselves if you have an email address that you would like it sent to
