I knew before posting my story that there were only going to be two spots left. Buz was an easy place right off the bat. Pun intended.
Fucking wanker writes the humorous raunch too fucking well. Hard to compete with such damn fun reads.
Good show, bro. I think you overestimated my entry. I've been outta the game too long, mate.
*I haven't read many of the entries due to lack of time, but I read a few of the top 10 and each is deserved.
Congrats Burquette and Buz, and to everyone who entered.
Story view count would be expected to be much higher on stories submitted early in the competition over stories submitted much later.
I have submitted stories in several competitions in the past and have led the competition in view count before when I got my story entered early, but did not place in the Top 3 in any of those instances. I never have expected such a thing as view count or even vote or comment count to play any role whatsoever in a story competition judged on writing, grammar, content, concept, storyline, and overall quality.
PS. This is an erotic story site. While there are some love stories, MOST of the stories are about SEX! I don't know about y'all but I say things during sex that wouldn't be considered proper etiquette in church. So why not write sex stories using real language of sex? If you read my stories you will see the words fuck, suck, pussy, cunt, dick, cock, pecker, prick, snatch, twat, tits, titties, dripping, cum, cumming, squirting, humping, thrusting, poking, pounding, ass, asshole, pucker, puckerhole, hell, you may even see tallywhacker or goober, or even, "Fuck my slutty cunt!"

ever do something you were really proud of and then have someone come along and tell you how much it sucks? between this thread and the Site Improvement thread, with the Rubrics conversation, i can imagine how the winners feel right now. thanks for being awesome.
You can’t truly call yourself peaceful unless you are capable of violence. If you’re not capable of violence, you’re not peaceful. You’re harmless.
Judging writing is and should be a subjective process. It’s not an algorithm to be gamed. Will everyone agree all the time with every decision? Of course not.
I am grateful that the contests are judged by people who look at the stories carefully, whether they were smash hits or relative box-office failures in terms of views.
Complaining about how one’s story did or didn’t do may be a natural response, but perhaps one best reserved for in private, to one’s friends.
I highly recommend that anyone who hasn’t read “Thin Ice,” “Batgirl,” or “Touch,” should queue them up immediately, along with any of the other stories in the top 10. I’m particularly partial, in that list, to Virgogo’s “Taking One for the Team,” my “Gold-Medal Whore,” and ChrisM’s lovely and sweet, “Judo: the Gentle Way,” which is really beautiful.
Congrats to the winners! a job well done.
