Never went that far...but, I am the firm believer in trying everything once before I make a decision.

Then why are the strap-ons usually shaped like a cock? If you really enjoy it surely it must make you curious as to how the real thing would feel.

Not necessarily. Different people can draw the line at differing places. While you might not be able to imagine that one could not, it doesn't mean that no one could. A man that enjoys pegging could in any of a number of places on the sexuality spectrum.

It's still a bit gay!
It's using a cock shaped appliance attached to a woman to assuage a man's conscience!

Gay is defined by the gender of a person and the gender(s) of the people that person is attracted to. Not sure why this concept is so difficult for some to grasp.

If you see it as gay that's your perception. You're mistakenly assuming that dildos are a gateway to cock. They can be but that doesn't mean that they are in all cases. It's rudimentary logic.

No, gay is not defined by gender it's defined by sex.
My point is a guy taking a cock shaped object up his ass is a gay act. If it wasn't the object wouldn't be cock shaped! The fact that a man has a pseudo penis in his anus is, to my mind, quasi gay!

I'd like to try it, never been fortunate enough to have a girl that sexuality free. Oh well... and no, it doesn't make you gay. There are plenty of straight guys getting rimmed or their asshole played with... this is just the next level up.

I have to totally disagree with you this time.

The biggest thing about being gay is not just the sex act itself -- it is about who you are attracted to.

There are many men who who love to have a vibrator (which is phallic like too) stuck in their ass by a woman just the same as woman with a strap-on fucking them, but that is because they are sexually attracted to that woman. You put a man doing the same thing and many of those men would be turned off to the point they would lose their erection or simply lose interest in the act itself.

Many lesbians love phallic like objects too but they don't want a man doing it to them. It would not be exciting or a turn-on for them at all.

Being gay is not just about the sex act. The same as being bisexual is not just about the sex act. It takes a whole lot more to being either than just that.

To me the whole labeling everything and saying this or that is a gay act is the reason so many people have so many hangups. And why so many men in particular have such a problem with accepting they are gay or bisexual.

I say let people enjoy what they enjoy and quit trying to label everything as gay sex or straight sex.

I didn't say it made you gay. Both sexes have tongues and fingers but only males have a penis. If a penis is in your ass it's a gay act and if a penis shaped dildo is in your ass it is simulating a gay act. It's the same if I use a fleshlite I'm simulating a straight act, but it wouldn't make me straight.

Even a finger is phallic -- like too.

Does that make it a gay act too if a man likes to have his ass fingered during a blow job or sex?

No a finger is a finger and both sexes have them. A phallus is penis shaped and only men have them. I'm not saying it maker you gay, I'm not even saying it makes you bi. All I've said is if a penis shaped object goes into a guy's ass it's simulating gay sex. There is no straight equivalent. I'm not disparaging or labelling anyone for doing it, you should do what you enjoy.

Let's get back on topic here guys.

My hub, who's certainly not gay or bi, would most undoubtedly love it if I produced a strap-on with his arse in mind. I haven't got one though, and don't intend to buy one - I have an anal plug that makes him squeak already! I think the attraction value, for him (and the very fact he let me do it in the first place) was for the experience. Subsequent to that, he just enjoys the element of carnal eroticism and the sensation of feeling 'full'.

From my 'research' most guys are inquisitive around this very subject. So why hold back? life's short!

Derek, if I have seen some of your posts correctly in the past you actually advocate against labels.
At the end of the day, people will call it whatever they want. Most importantly if they enjoy it, who gives a rats ass what it's called?

That's exactly what I said at the end of my post. It's all about the pleasure.

Derek you know I love you, but I still disagree with you. The straight equivalent is called anal sex.

There is anal sex between a man and a woman as well as between woman and woman or man and man.

The only thing that makes sex gay or straight is who it is between. Many gay men don't even have anal sex. There are many gay men that not only don't like it but they don't even believe in it (the whole frottage movement).

As swollen said many men are just curious about it. Just find the fullness enjoyable. But they wouldn't enjoy it if it was with another man. They enjoy it because of who it is happening with.

I'd love to try it but the wife's not up for it sadly. I'd love to have something rub against my prostate! Sounds fun

I will always remember my first time, as if it were yesterday, there was a little pain at first, but after relaxing and her going deeper and harder, when I came, it shot out like a cannon, wow, now anal is the best sex for me that there is

You're misrepresenting what I said. Sex of the people sexually attracted to each other is definitely relevant. A dildo, on the other hand, is an inanimate object. It has no gender and no sexual preference so it can't be straight gay or bi.

Quote by dpw

I fully understand your point but your reasoning is flawed and you're projecting your preferences. You might not be able to appreciate that a straight man could enjoy a dildo (and have no interest whatsoever in another man) but that doesn't mean that it is not possible. Strap on sex can be a straight sex act. It can be a gay sex act. It can be a bi sex act. It can be a lesbian sex act.

Quote by dpw

That's circular reasoning. Being like something does not make the thing into the something.

Fact is that most dildos are representational. There are some non-representational ones and people certainly use them. Either way the general shape is very good at the job. However, that does not define it as gay -- or any sexual preference aside from preferring a dildo in the ass.

Precisely why I said you perceive it as gay. Perception and reality aren't always the same thing.

I was making the point that gender and sex are not the same thing. I thought they were until I was pulled up about it, I did a bit of research and found that I was wrong.
The other part I won't comment on as I've been asked not to.

There are prostate toys, massagers, butt plugs, etc that could be worth checking out as well.

Sorry, that wasn't clear in your prior posts. Your quoting and reply seemed to indicate that I was stating that they were one and the same.

I've promised not to antagonize on this post and you're quoting early posts of mine. I stand by my post on Sunday at 2:04. Any further discussion with me can only be done with a pm.

I have had a dildo in my ass and would be fine with a strap on or even a cock. I still don't think that makes me gay. I don't want to make out with a man or cuddle or anything else other than use his cock so to me that is the measurement. Love and affection toward another man makes you gay not what you put in your ass or mouth.

Oh! I'd feel so used. Happy but used, lol.
I suppose I should take offence but that would be hypocritical. Many bi and "straight" guys have been in darkrooms, saunas and sex cinemas, when they offered their ass or mouth i didn't refuse. If they used me and my cock, I in turn used them. There is no emotion in those places, it's just sex and anonymous sex at that.
